And not everyone who's been inside will have had the awareness to think about what it all means. A lot of the difference between left and right ultimatelt boils down to issues of responsibility: who is responsible for actions -the individual or society- and what should be done about it -punish or assist. Someone on the right will attribute problems to the individual and rule out the possibility that people can be dealt s****y hands and be victims of wrong time wrong place - which is enough for them to deserve their lot. I guess that's not where you come from.

Guess Turkish deep down is good old liberal, notwithstanding the fact that he knocks half the liberals on here for their lily-livered and mealy-mouthed liberalism.

A typical DD climb down. Fair enough - its a better position to hold.

Reports of the Dubai trip are pretty m***y, though am sure the likes of tokyo and bearsy would do a good job of fantasising what chris samba looks like in a pair of speedos.

Congratulations on the job (been in a similar situation) I might have a spare one (my teeth are playing up and am on a ton of antibiotics, so it's touch and go whether I'll make it. A group is taking the ticket up). I'll have a clearer idea on Thursday/Friday, so PM me then. But if another one comes up in the meantime, take that.

Things you learn from interacting on the Saints Web forum.....

Posters write players off or proclaim them footballing gods after just a few matches (^^^) -
Just as bad as the fat messes who waddle back and forth from their seats for something to eat - is it possible to exercise some self-control for 45 mins. Cricket is more understandable - it's an all-dayer. The last thing I want is some lairy c**t spilling their drink on me when we score -happened in 2010 against the skates and happens all the time at gigs. Even standing up and sitting down for some incontinent sod who needs to go for a p iss is an inconvenience and would happen which ever part of the ground a drinking zone was located. The possibility of aggro could be easily dealt with as others have pointed out but a few extra points are a drop in the ocean if people have been on the lash the whole day.

Kettlebells give you tight buttocks. -
Who's claiming it's a lie? The Mirror have simply said wham are interested, nothing more and posters have responded by questioning why we would want to sell RL or why he would want to leave.

But the ringer was the beginning of the end and the descent into madness? Agree Walter is brilliant - cant think of a more entertainingly pious character: "you're killing your father larry". The Man Who Wasn't There and Raising Arizona are also great Coen Brothers film.

MNF - super analysis if Citeh demolition on now

I agree - it also takes considerable skill to play through teams like that. Save two wonder passes from Silva (one under immense pressure), the play leading to their goal would have broken down. And needless to say their goal came from a corner where the CBs were much higher up the pitch than they would ordinarily be. MFN also highlighted how the likes of Punch would come off the opposing flank, almost the blindside, to help with the press - great when it works but it does leave us down vulnerable down the sides if the ball can be switched quickly. -

Exactly- glad you heard the same thing as me. Its a subtle point but Moyes was not talking about the longer/direct ball suggested here. -
He said he doesnt feel much for people he doesn't know - nothing about this or that particular instance.

Of course but its not the same as switching play quickly -a Morgan type ball- and exploiting the space, usually with pace. I'm more concerned by a Spurs-type team that uses the whole width of the pitch. As I say, Everton didn't have much luck against us (and what they did enjoy was probably due to tiredness) and they are as, if not more direct than Newcastle. -

Yep - he did say though that it was a limited high line. From what I've seen our CBs don't gamble as much and tend to drop off - Cork in many ways is the key and the insurance policy as he helps prevent too much space opening up between our midfield and defense. -

Not quite- he spoke about being able to switch the ball quickly and exploit our narrowness when players come in from the flanks to press. Speculative hoofs a la Stoke, Wham, Newcastle and Everton aren't the same thing. Indeed, Everton was a good test of how our setup would fare against a direct side - they are as long ball as Newcastle. -
Tbf, Mancini was very complimentary about us in the build up and said that he really sat up when he watched the everton and united games. If there was complacency, it rests with City's players and I get the impression that Mancini only has limited sway over them.

Go on, Joey, that 'hit-and-running no mark' has thrown down the gauntlet. You know you want to...

Made the most tackles on Saturday, more than any of our or their players - says a lot about his work ethic and willingness to contribute to MP's system.

No doubt he's busy donating a liver That said, the whole idea of being unable to feel sympathy for someone you've never met is f**ked up and parochial. Gazza's one thing; elevating it to a general principle is another.
