First sung to Andy Carroll up at the Boleyn. Thought it was quite effective there - at least, their supporters bit unlike the 6-fingered grannies last night.

Harder? The increase in applications isn't necessarily commensurate with a rise in quality -just look at the background of those who are ultimately accepted. Not much of a change there (not least because the usual suspects still have the resources and incentives to 'game' the system). Finally don't read too much into the outreach activity - much of it is low-level, thinly spread promotion by numbers.

Agree with this. I guess the question is that as we bought into 'potential', how quickly the club expected to see a return on its investment? Thus it is a slight surprise that Shaw has fitted into the team more comfortably than some of our higher profile acquisitions.

Why who runs your place? I remember 'too much of an exact location to put in a public place' The mongboard bends to reality but it does not break.

Principal (or in English, a glorified social worker)

Mate runs a college in Oxford- depends if you can deal with the claustrophobia for 3/4 years but that's also true of a lot of places e.g. Warwick.

Wasn't just the goal, that's the tip of the iceberg. It's the inability and/or unwillingness to come off his line and command the box at crosses. It was getting so bad second half that he wasnt even coming to pick up routine, over hit through balls, even though he was unchallenged. Out of his depth at the moment and it's costing us dearly.

So hindsight shows that Michu would have been a better signing than Jrod over 1/3 of the season. The stuff of club legends
-
By implication you are saying that the outs are failures relative to the ins. By your quick tendency to judge, I'm sure you decided that Saga was a world beater- and we all know how that turned out. Strange world where a 1/3 of the season or less qualifies as hindsight.
-
And I thought hindsight was about the wisdom and clarity of time, not a blurry, few odd games -or in Mayuka's case a handful of sub appearances. Who's to say that any of the 'outs' you mention will be failures or the 'ins' successes? I don't need the hindsight of Saganowski's time at the club to know this simple fact and you're spouting more dps.

More dubious, pointless sh*t from DPS.

Nice one - added one or two steps to the cycle

If inverting your boorishness on this subject is punnery, then I'm stumped. Anyway, im sure you'll want to toast and dunk a biscuit with me on what is a piece of good news.

Just surprised I beat you to it.

More damning proof that nobody in the local community wants to work with us.
-
More damning proof that cortese and the club do not care one iota about the local community.

Aren't they the same thing in your world?

Long, long ago in a place far, far away....

Just had a look at the thread on the UI -and you were peddling the same s**t there. It seems that you do honestly believe it. Or did. Or are you going to claim that was also a wind-up

What's the biggest factor in our recent turn around?

Cortese having a full squad to pick from. -
Seen a nice little number down Burtons yet with all the vouchers headed your way?

How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed? (Part 2)

See Lambert was taken off after 75mins -the same as against united and fulham- no complaints yesterday. Just a shame guly didnt come on- would have been the icing on the cake. Bless the helmets on here. -
Ever heard of TV money- love how corporate boxes have become the focal point of our business model with some. Christ I wouldn't be surprised if the record kit sales offset the empty boxes.
-
Yes its entertainment but its a certain kind of entertainment, TV entertainment. Bulk of the money comes from TV revenues and only sustainable success on the pitch determines whether we get a slice of that action, not whether we fill up a few corporate boxes which are diddly in the grand scheme of things.
