  1. Long way to go - Brighton well in this.
  2. Their forum claiming quite a few -mostly midfielders + Harte- are doubtful. Only Karacan is definitely out.
  3. Possibly - though Adkins is still different. His son-of-the-preacher smile and outlook tend to provoke pretty extreme reactions among other fans and that's fine by me.
  4. Only appropriate time for it all season was when Arsenal did it to City on Sunday.
  5. Like Warnock, the league on balance is better for having him. Who wants a bunch of earnest, tracksuited Eddie Howes.
  6. Mills went to Leicester in the summer - Pearce was excellent that day.
  7. Poyet on opp fans chanting that Brighton is a dirty team: "two or three fans dont have nothing to do, they start singing whatever they want and people follow because they dont have the personality to think what they are saying".
  8. I remember you thinking the gay sway was top class "very Man Utd/Ronaldo", so won't be taking tips off you anytime soon Agree tho the Ultras thing is utterly cringeworthy. At least, the c**ts seem to be dying off -their numbers seemed down from the Carling Cup.
  9. Will be difficult. Lambert got nothing out of Pearce and Gorkks at their place, so we're going to have to be less predictable in how we attack them. We've also looked a bit wobbly against setpieces (recently) and width (a longer-term problem) -and Reading excel from both. Shame Schneiderlin is out - reckon he would have done a great job picking up Hunt like he did against Koren.
  10. Didnt think it was a bad atmosphere - admittedly not very adventurous; but more people than usual got involved -while palace offered nothing back so it was hard for any decent banter to develop.
  11. He doesnt say that - only says they are the best team in the league right now. Fantastic presser from poyet: http://www.seagulls.co.uk/articles/20120409/video-poyets-reading-press-conference_2264458_2728499 His views on gringo refs, Brighton being a dirty team, opposition fans and the pressure on us, reading, whu, brum and b'pool to go up are hilarious.
  12. Journo must have been watching a different game - it was as comfortable an away win as ive seen all season and we didnt need to get out of 2nd gear.

    The Midfield

Agree- Hammond was our best midfielder and close for my MOTM.

    The Midfield

Palace made it very, very easy for us today - the gave us so much time and space. Their enforcer, Dikgacoi, was a non-entity. The skates game arguably helped us - the tempo, aggression and intensity of that game steeled us up and seemed to rub off on today's performance .
  15. Some odd marks. Disagree about Butterfield - he had an excellent game and hit a beauty of a cross for the first. Zaha only looked good after he got booked and switched sides. It was Fox who was troubled by Zaha -that said Fox had a decent game upto that point. Also thought Hammond was on a par with, if not better than Cork. Your comments also overlook how easy Palace made it for us in midfield - everyone was flattered a tad. Dikgacoi, their supposed enforcer, was utter garbage. As such, would reserve judgment on Chaplow being back to his best. Likewise, the game suited Cork who is still lightweight IMO.

    Chaplow

Was much better but hard to judge given the time and space all our midfield had. I had Hammond down as the best midfielder just edging out Cork. Even Lallana got stuck in winning the ball which led to our second. If anything, when it came to that little bit of quality, Chaplow's touch let him down. In the second half, had a great a chance to poke the ball around their corner for an runner to have a free shot from six yards; but overhit his pass. Both FBs were also very good. Butterfield looked very composed and had to deal with Zaha for most of the game -indeed Zaha only looked dangerous after he switched flanks.
  17. ...and as you care, any tips for stopping the facepaint running in the rain x
  18. Didn't know you cared - reminds me I must remember to pack a warm blanket x Local fixture for me but still leaves us both boros...
  19. Absolutely, see you there sweetie?
  20. You going to the game rather being full of sh*t?
  21. edit
  22. Palace have had less time to recover than us for this game.
  23. Actually palace fans rate him. Williams and Wright missing tho.
  24. Remember having a good night there in 2006 - 2-0 if i remember?
