Leicester about to sign striker Opoku according to Sky. Bournemouth got a CB from Kiev - £24m. They're going for it, whatever that is.
-
Where are you flying from - Australia??? 🤣
-
Couldn’t make it up could you?! Having said that, believing any of the media click bait rubbish today will be a waste of time. If we hear it on a credible source such as Sky or the club OS fine, but otherwise it’s not worth the Rennie! 🤣
-
Turn your back for 2 hours and the whole transfer outlook has changed dramatically and not in a good way! Think it’s just a case of hold on tight and wait for the inevitable disappointment tomorrow evening. Double disappointment after Newcastle inflict defeat on us.
-
Would Vitinha get a work permit? Seems like a plausible excuse for not getting it over the line and turning attention to Ayew and lesser names?
-
As I said, I liked Ralph and I agree he is a superior Manager than Jones, but that doesn't remove the fact that his time had run it's course which is why he was sacked.
-
Still a deal that we should be all over to get done and quickly IMO. Plus the Spurs lad Moura (sp).
-
I would have liked to see more dynamic play - less backwards/sideways passing - and more goals. I would like to go to a game of football at home thinking, "we've got a chance of winning" today. If Ralph's results were that great then why are we where we are? Jones has not made things better admittedly, but that's no reason to swing back and suddenly declare Ralph to be successful because he wasn't.
-
Two? What about Perraud - he’s not too shabby?!
-
I’m not sure where that came from - I can tell you as a paid up ST holder, I became very disappointed with the turgid football and terrible results, so much so that there was little reason to renew this season. I wanted Ralph to be a success - liked the chap - but a success he was not and ultimately left us at the foot of table.
-
Ralph was not a particular success in the sense his football was awful for a long time, he lost lots games including an unprecedented number at home and he presided over some terribly negative ‘records’ such as the 9-0 losses. Admittedly he needed to be backed with a better striker, but that’s easy to identify in hindsight.
-
The reason given is it no longer offers enough space. Must be all that stuff Jones is talking about, although hot air does tend to expand so that’s my theory…too much hot air, not enough substance and too much stuff. #genius.
-
With all respect, it’s all stuff and nonsense. Tick tock.
-
That’s a massive investment at a time when financially the club must be at most risk. If they explored it a year ago, can’t see it being a real prospect while relegation looms large.
-
You’re absolutely spot on…the loss on investment by going down would be huge, including the value lost in a summer panic fire sale. Trouble is it’s all been left too late - sacking Ralph and getting a decent striker. We’re staring down the barrel and the trigger is primed.
-
Fixed it for you.🤪🤣

Click bait? True? Anyone on the inside with info?

Don’t know what it is about these entitled knobs, but I would love it if we romped home with a convincing win. I know deep down though it’s about as likely as the Lib Dems winning the next GE with a landslide. They’ve got a better squad and a better Manager. Even if we signed Ronaldo and he was eligible to play, Jones would put him on in the 86 minute. Just want to see a convincing battling performance with no roll over result plus no red cards and no injuries. -
Yeah this - remember there were plenty of moans about it being too quiet and distorted when higher in volume. Basically useless. They upgraded it and suddenly it was retribution to the point where it was turned so loud blood could be seen coming from fans ears. OK, not quite that bad, but sometimes it’s been silly loud.
-
Perraud had a very good game, even without taking the goals into account. Needs more starts IMO.
-
What bit don’t you agree with?😉 With so little time left on his contract and the potential for 1 or 2 new attacking players coming in, I could see the possibility of Che being sold at a profit, especially to Everton. I’m not certain he would actually provide that much more certainty of safety from relegation - look at where most goals are coming from lately and Che just doesn’t seem able to get his shooting boots working consistently at Saints.
-
To be honest I’m not sure he is that much better than Mara - somewhat different players anyway. If we were offered £30m for Che can you see the club turning that down? If we can pay £20m for an average winger, I think it’s safe to say Che would command at least £30m in this window.
-
Well thank goodness for Perraud - a player who has struggled to keep a place in a Jones side. Strange that.
-
Diallo showing he’s only got one brain cell.

6 minutes. Too long.😂
