Can’t see anything other than a loss here - too slow in our build-up as usual which plays into WBA’s hands given they love to sit deep. Basically they’re winning because they’re better at the rough ‘em up quick break game and they’re desperate to climb away from the R zone. Our players on the other hand know that promotion means losing your job!

Would have thought winning games against teams above us was particularly important, not that dropping points against relegation candidates wouldn't be seen as a failure. To be fair every win, every point is crucial now, so I do agree that weakening a successful team is not the way to go now.

Playing well - containing them high up the pitch which basically nullifies their game plan. Expect a different approach in the 2nd half though, so hopefully Saints don’t take their foot off the pedal.

We should win comfortably, however this team has some heart in it despite everything it’s been through. It will not be a pushover and if our players are complacent / relaxed about the fixture, we’ll lose.

Well that didn’t got the way I’d expected! Delighted of course as I had a ticket for this one…better do that again. 😊 Thought Downes had an exceptional game and was probably my MOTM, although Matsuki was very, very good too. Azaz played as well know he can but doesn’t always. Larin was also excellent in his hold-up play and demonstrated great ball skill to trap the ball on more than one occasion, in stark contrast to Archer who continues to be an absolute donkey. All in all, you can only win the games put in front of you and we did that brilliantly last night. ”To the library 5-0!”. 😂😂😂

My feeling is that it is inconceivable that the teams between us and Wrexham will all drop enough points and we’ll be consistent enough to gain enough points, to get us into 6th place. It’s possible of course, but unlikely.

It’s not just age that’s important - you have to take account of where the player concerned has been plying his trade. Would we be better off with a 27 yo player with 10 years of European 2nd string team experience or a 34 yo player with 6 years of proven EPL experience? With all else being equal, my money would go on the latter.
