Biglia and Ramirez would be a fantastic signings alone, but Fontas too would be stunning for us IMO. Can't quite bring myself to believe it will happen. Guly and some form of disciplinary will be one thing, but I cannot see Sharp going anywhere as I reckon Mayuka and Ramirez will be working as wide forwards.

As others have said, it's not a case of 'giving up' as such. It's quite clear that CB has been a significant area for improvement since before the end of the Championship season, let alone now the quality of strikers is so much greater. Simple fact is Fonte and Fox (even possibly Jos) think and act too slow for this league and at best should be 2nd choice players.

Kelv is perfectly capable, he just needs a solid and reliable defensive unit in front of him. He provided as many match winning saves last season as Lambert produced match winning goals FFS.
