  1. Pulis. Closely followed by Lallana.
  2. It would appear that yes, this is NA's style. If it continues in this vein I think the league will be ours and we'll truly be set for the nPC. It will be interesting to see how NA develops the squad from January onwards. If there's money to be spent as reported, who will he be bringing in and letting go I wonder? The only players I can think of that might exit could be...Pulis (obviously), Connolly (just not fit enough and hence no consistent goal threat). Will Dickson want to stay - he's not even making the bench now?
  3. Is there REALLY any need to be abusive to SOG? He's entitled to his opinion as you are and to call him an invalid and suggest he's ruined the thread is completely wrong. This is why this forum has gone downhill - hope you're proud of yourself. I agree with the OP - NA is starting to show us what he's about and I like it a lot. Was initially skeptical, but I am won over now and once again enjoying my football.
  4. Great win - played some lovely football - a real treat.
  5. i am itk - yay!
  6. Damaged goods - we'll repair them for you Reading, no worries...then you can come back for them for your squad or charge us an exhorbitant transfer fee for our trouble.
  7. I did reveal the intention to sign a striker yesterday actually. However, the above is a bit of a nasty surprise, even if it does look like he was just an accessory.
  8. I do agree - there is not much substance to his game analysis. I do also agree that I much prefer the performance on the pitch to do his talking for him.
  9. Makes you wonder whether there is a connection regarding the w******s involved?
  10. OS talk - I think you'll find that sometimes a little spin goes a long way when trying to offload a player to another unsuspecting club!
  11. Err, yes. NA interview on Saintsplayer?
  12. Sounds like NA might be aiming to get another player in before the weekend (heavy hints on Saintsplayer vid). This of course means that we have an exciting Friday guessing who might be coming in. We've sorted midfield, so my guess is a striker to replace Barney.
  13. I would like you to report on (a) the time it takes before he actually gets to touch the ball and (b) the number of times he touches the ball in each half. I wager the answers will be (a) 12 minutes and (b) less than 15 touches per half. That is assuming he gets on the pitch - if he gets to train with them and they see the range of his 'talents', he'll probably start on the bench.
  14. In a dog's dinner kind of way one would suggest?
  15. I thank you.
  16. Believe me when I say that, if you've not seen him play already, you should hope you NEVER get the opportunity. He might be worthy of a role somewhere, but he is no footballer.
  17. Completely agree with this. Barnard and other professional footballers claim they are paid huge wages because they have short sharp careers - well if that's true then they need to earn that privilege by acting like professional athletes and looking after themselves. If they can't stand the heat then get out the f-ing kitchen! While I think about it, I was a little shocked when watching one of the latest vids on Saintsplayer. While the interview went on, the team were seen training at Staplewood and in the background Lambert could be seen yawning his f-ing head off! In the first instance I didn't think anything of it, but then on reflection I started thinking that this just typifies how he's looking on the pitch at the moment - tired and lazy. And I don't give a fook about the incoming childish abuse from all those who think Lambert can do no wrong - no one player is above reproach when he's being paid by the supporters to perform IMHO. Honeymoon over - I think NA needs to crack down on discipline in the squad pretty damn hard now.
  18. Agreed. The players turning round looked pretty smart TBH.
  19. Listen, we have a hard working bunch of professional posters posting on here. We need everyone to stick together and be a team. Be a team together. We need to work hard and keep working for Southampton Football Club and this forum. This is a big forum for a big club and other posters are going to come here trying to make things difficult for us. But we're a big forum and if we post well, it will give us the opportunities to push on. Never underestimate those posters who want to ruin threads by hijacking them. If we all get behind the posters then we can all enjoy the opportunities that good posting can bring. Listen, when I came into this building there were a bunch of hard-posting professionals here and with the fresh start we're working hard to push-on towards, we can all enjoy winning more friends and climbing to the premier league of forums.
  20. Yes, let's hope he does well and stays there. Somehow though I sadly suspect he will be found out again and will be swiftly returned to us. I bet Gillingham are hoping that he starts against them to ensure a win. lol
  21. I would expect a 4-5-1 with Guly in the hole behind Lambo and Chaplow in for Spiderman. There's still good options off the bench...Martin, Jaidi, Dickson, Oxo, Holmes, Pulis(LOL!). Could be interesting to see how NA sorts the side. I can't get to the game so we'll probably spank 'em 6-0. ):
  22. Have to say that with the Barnard incident looming large, we are looking extremely lightweight and especially with Lambert not firing on six. There's Doble, who is a 1st team listed player and a lad with an international call up, however I cannot believe he is the answer. As De Prado came on as a striker in the Cherries game (i.e. being played out of position), it tends to suggest to me that there is no intention to bring in a new player. It is quite disappointing that there is seemingly very little spoken about the 1st team make-up by the club, including intentions regarding new players. The 'round-up' section on Saintsplayer could quite easily provide some more info if someone had the gumption to do it.
  23. I like many others were not overly impressed by his arrival. However, he has something about him and the way the team played Saturday told me he has started to sort things out. In fact that was the best I've seen Saints play for a long time, so let's hope he continues to get the results we deserve.
  24. As you suggest, I find it very hard to believe this is true as it could just as easily be claimed after conducting a formal risk assessment that there would be public safety issues associated with letting away fans out early.
