Saints V Cardiff - First Half and Half Time Thread
Saint Fan CaM replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Listening on-line here in Rhodes - I think we could win this after the league went with us yesterday. Come on you Saints. -
Agree with this - I think Hammond has proven his ability to deal with the type of team Cardiff will prove to be. However, I feel sure he will understand that with three games in quick succesion someone needs to be kept fresh at CM. I would suspect all four CM players will be very close to earning a place in the team.
-
Simply sickening OP - call yourself a Saint? Hang your head in shame along with anyone else associated with pedalling this rubbish.
-
Can't understand the switch of Hammond for Morgan. Not heard Lambert or Connolly's name as a part of any kind of attack for...well, all 2nd half I think.
-
Some weird changes by Adkins today. We need to get De Ridder on to get some pace to attack them more.
-
Hammond off for Morgan - "obviously a tactical change" so says Solent.
-
Burnley are sounding pretty strong to be fair, but it's all to do with Adkins decision to open up the wings to them. Now we don't have enough width.
-
One of those days. Can see us going two down on the break as we press for the equaliser late in the game.
-
Lambert hits the crossbar...tit's.
-
Oh dear, bad ref decision to our advantage. But sounds like we're riding our luck a bit too much.
-
Adkins has fooked up tactics for the 1st time this season - switch hasn't worked - our full-backs totally exposed.
-
Fook me Saints - sort it out!!!!
-
Jos having a storming game.
-
Sounds a little bit more lively now with Chappers on and Lallana in the hole.
-
Would love a win - think this could be a draw though. 2-2.

Cortese kisses and makes up with the Sun

Top bloke is our Chairman. He has put Saints back on the UK football map already and we're still not anywhere near where he wants to take us yet. -
He wants to come back here having seen our league positon and heard how we're gonna tear a new one in the Prem next season.
-
Mmm, not the most inspiring of draws, but there's every chance of getting through to face Prem oppo in the quarters. And if we go out now, so what - it'll keep the focus on the league campaign.
-
This - great post.
-
I don't normally reply to threads by saying just "THIS", but on this occasion I'll make an exception. Err....oh...
-
Would like Newcastle or the Arse at home. The way both those teams are playing right now, we would have a great chance of an upset.
-
Just. Top. Stuff. Can't wait for Weds. I go to each game confident we will win - knowing there's no reason why we could not win, such is the strength of this team.
-
How weird - I was just thinking that very same thought and scrolled down to see your thread. Adam has as much a right to a place on the banner as Rickie IMO.
-
Have to agree with the OP - this start has by far exceeded my expectations. The thing is, we're looking just so good as a team. Even the defence seems to be getting better now - a couple or three more games and every team in this division is going to find it hard living with us. I really think we have a good chance of getting to the final 4 of the Carling Cup too because of our depth of squad. It's an incredible time to be a Saints supporter and there's so much more to come too.

Fantastic game of football - very entertaining. NA got the tactics just right. Excellent to see Lambert cement himself as a Championship player while at Saints. Connolly is excelling in relation to our expectations - he is very fit, of that there can be no doubt. Defence needs work - especially with the new lad - their 2nd goal particularly was gifted to them. I want to see Cork at CM again, although clearly NA had selection problems. We deserved to win that game.
