Bump...
-
I agree - but then I had already opened a thread on exactly the same topic... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=9584 Not sure why you would not wish to respond on that one but hey ho. ST holders are the key players in whether Lowe stays or goes...let's stop this madness.
-
Thanks for the reply guys. Like most, I cannot see any other way to oust Lowe than to starve the bank account. I would like to propose to all ST holders to wait until AFTER March madness and early bird to renew. This will hurt Lowe and Wilde, but not necessarily hurt the club long-term. With Lowe and Wilde gone and a decent managerial set-up in place, I feel sure fans will flood back in to support the club and ensure survival financially. ST HOLDERS ARE THE KEY - LETS WORK AS ONE - LETS GET LOWE AND WILDE OUT! (If you want to renew then do so, but do it late - not early)
-
And here you have hit the nail on the head. We need a very big turn around to take enough points and its not there in the coaching/managerial side of things to make the change. I think if Pearson had been left to get on with the job, we might have stood a chance this season, but to change the manager once again was a MASSIVE mistake by Lowe - to do it twice was tantamount to killing the club. We're down and possibly out.
-
I was thinking about the timing of the early bird and what the implications to the club might be this year. I have decided not to renew my ST - certainly not at early bird time and probably not until Lowe/Wilde/Wotte leave the club (which could be a long time). I think there are possibly many others like me which means that revenue from ST's could plummet. If this happens AFTER the March deadline for posting administration, we could be in the brown stuff big time next season. So I wondered whether the club might offer early bird even earlier this year to get an early picture - likely or not? Incidentally, I think not renewing at early bird will send a MUCH bigger message to the PLC Board and the bank, than marching through the City (not that that was a bad idea).
-
We are not going into administration - Lowe will not let it happen as he cannot afford to be tarnished as a failed PLC CEO in the City. And his ego will not allow it. He will sell or cut-back as much as he can before admin comes knocking. I wonder whether the early bird offer will come a little earlier this year? Otherwise a lack of take-up in ST's (leading to big hole in finances) will not be known until too late to act. We will end up in L1 and be faced with a devastating scenario that will make the current situation look rosy.

Those pics are very, very good!

Tomorrow's Watford Match Postponed - Official

Putting off the inevitable... -
Dyer coming back? Oh good, we can have two short @rses not getting to the byline, running into defenders before passing the ball, on BOTH sides of the park. Kinda like cr*p football in stereo. Nice.
-
He was not too good yesterday. He's been taking lessons from Dyer... Run at defenders, don't look up for the killer pass, but blunder straight into the defender, fall over and then take an age to wonder what's happened such that the opposition are now down the other end scoring.

I've looked forward to a time when I could afford a bloody ST for years and now I have a peach of a seat in the middle of the Kingsland, the entertainment has been reduced to something approaching sh*te! I have reached the conclusion that despite not wanting to lose my seat, I can no longer support a regime that I do not believe in. I am sick of being lied to - when I bought my ST in March 08 it was in the belief that Pearson was going to start where he left off in the previous season. But of course soon after I had coughed up my money, the best players were farmed out and Pearson sacked. Disgraceful way to treat customers or supporters (choose your own description). I've had enough and the only way to make change happen is by walking away albeit temporarily until Lowe and Wilde lose their shares and their hold on the club.

Saeijs was our best player last night. Big presence, not afraid to tackle, very good anticipation (way ahead of any other player in the team), won almost all headers, ran forward on more than one occassion etc. So no, your analysis is totally wrong. He reminds me quite a bit of Claus actually.

Who will you support if Saints go really under ?
Saint Fan CaM replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
If the club went right under, I would not support another team - that would be it for me. I would get some enjoyment watching the game on TV and would probably always root for the underdog (why do we do that so well?), but that would be it. -
Dear Wotte, You have been asked to deliver results - you have decided for some incredibly ignorant reason to attempt to do so by using the same tactics as your predecessor. For THAT alone you should be hung, drawn and quartered, but suffice to say you are just another total disaster of a managerial appointment (in a long line of managerial disasters) made by Lowe. I know its a tall order - a tough call - but please recognise that you cannot make the grade...you are just not good enough...and resign immediately. Thanks, A once proud SFC supporter.
-
I just cannot believe that most of the players at Wottes disposal are worse than the shower of sh*te on show for Sheffield Utd (not to mention a lot of other clubs). Why oh why did we start a home game with a defensive line-up? Wotton and Gillett are not playmakers...so who is? Lallana is not adapting to the game plan. Euell should be up front with Saga, Skacel should be at LB, Surman should be playing CM (at least he can f-ing shoot) alongside Wotton, put Lallana on the left wing....play 4-4-2 and start with our STRONGEST line-up. Tonight McG was more sh*te than he usually is. McGlaggon must have been taking lessons from Dyer - continually ran into defenders and had no vision to pass to a team mate. There was no movement off the ball - many shots 'on goal' were schoolboy level - little effort was put in by some. On the plus side, Davis still pulls off some good moves, Size was excellent for 95% of the game, Surman is a real pro playing out of position and still putting in a committed performance, Saga worked hard but got rubbish service from a non-existant midfield. Therefore I lay all blame for this game at the door of our new coach/manager. HE DOES NOT HAVE A FRICKING CLUE - JUST LIKE HIS BUMBLING PREDECESSOR JP!!! I see Pearson has once again delivered a convincing 4-1 win for Leicester - I simply refuse to believe he would not be able to deliver a decent team and better results, from the players at this club. WOTTE IS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN!!! And I point the holistic finger of blame at LOWE and WILDE - they have ruined the club between them. Being an ST holder there's little I can do now to influence their status at SFC at the moment, but I promise them one thing - I will NOT be purchasing an ST next season. And I will be ecstatic to see them lose their money when the club goes into admin because of lost gate receipts...and when they have gone, I will then consider buying an ST and supporting the club financially again.

Saints V Sheff Utd build up thread
Saint Fan CaM replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I would field my strongest team at home and go for the win from the start...as follows... ---------Davis James Size Perry Skacel ------- Wotton McClaggon - Sneiderlin - Surman ----- Saga -- Euell Subs: Bialkowski, Lallana, McG, Gillett, Lipstick This team would do the business IMO, but of course Wotte still does not seem to know who his best team is. -
Oh dear, oh dear. Here we go again. Same old problem we experienced in our last days in the Prem...stocking up on players that would struggle to look good in the league below. And guess where we'll end up? Yes, you've got it in one...Lowe and Wilde with the help of Wotte are setting us up for life in L1 - its so blatantly obvious and so very sickening.

She was not sure she wanted to accept Ruperts offer of a dance - he was just too ugly in her eyes.

Look, I'm so gifted I can feel your @rse with my left hand while keeping my eyes shut...

Any early last minute transfer news?
Saint Fan CaM replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Someone on here said that Waals was not around now and anyway, he's just a consultant - hardly able to make financial decisions regarding fees and salaries etc. I would have thought. I think we can expect very little - certainly nothing to get excited about. Our biggest issue at the moment is whether Molyneax gets more than a one match ban (as that would take Surman out of the midfield equation for awhile). -
Any early last minute transfer news?
Saint Fan CaM replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Is Lowe back from holiday? If not, then surely NOTHING will be happening on the transfer in front - it will just be pre-agreed departures to be announced, if indeed they work their way through before the window closes. -
I would not be surprised in the slightest at the game being postponed.

I was astounded at how poor this guy was in this game. The most shocking part was him completely ignoring Bosingwa put studs into Benayouan's back at the corner flag. The linesman saw it and flagged...Riley just ignored the incident! This was the most blatant example of 'ref rigging' I think I have ever seen - I reckon Riley had previously given a poor decision against Chelsea, so then ignored this incident to 'even' things up. Unprofessional conduct and he should be banned for that display.

I think we are very close to Admin. There simply has not been the outbound moves that the club required to get money in. Lowes strategy is really unravelling before our very eyes, which is extremely sad as it also signifies further depths to be sunk to before the club bottoms out. Frankly, as results are not going to be too much different to when JP was in charge, there will need to be some extremely difficult decisions made in the near future. I would hazard a guess that there are many who, like me, would not mind administration as it would signal the end of Lowe, Wilde and the PLC. It might just signify the beginning of a new more positive era.
