  1. I wouldn't mind having his legs - at nearly 50 years old, mine are well past running a pitch for 90mins! There was a link to Wiki from the photo though.
  2. Wonderful if true and I would like Leon to have some involvement too, but I am very very skeptical...:cool:
  3. Now where has that come from? I think there's as much chance of money coming from Holland over here as there is me taking home Kate Winslet for a 'chat'! Nice try.
  4. It's all a massive mistake by Lowe. He could have used his last trump card - Dowie - but he has once again failed miserably to deal with the situation properly. I am now looking forward to administration - it will be more exciting than the football now to see Lowe and Wilde turfed out on their @rses with no shares between them. Keep on rollin'.
  5. On the face of it, Lowe has once again made a fantastically poor choice when he had a chance to really get it right. Like Leon got it right in the nick of time with Pearson's appointment. This decision though will see us into League One and possible administration IMO. :mad: UNLESS! Perhaps - just perhaps - Lowe is appointing Wotte as Head Coach and then appointing a proper Manager with some experience like Pardew or Dowie. Now that would make some sense, but I am not holding my breath on that one. :cool:
  6. Ah the one that's 6ft 6" tall? :smt037
  7. Given that JP HAD to go, Wotte is the answer to the question. However, Wotte is NOT the answer to SFC's plight. It's another cheap option that will end up going horribly wrong IMO. This seals our relegation...thanks Lowe and Wilde you tw&ts.
  8. Can see where you're coming from, but IMO I take them with a pinch of salt frankly. I have no reason to believe or disbelieve - so I just take the info as being possible and leave it at that. If I have any reason to doubt it, I will say so or just not comment atall. Makes for less strife.
  9. Wotte's Going On? :smt034 They could play the Marvin Gaye tune over the tannoy! That would be hilarious. :smt005
  10. I do hope that comment is made entirely in jest and not with any form of ITK-ness! :smt037
  11. Why does that hurt you? These guys have something to offer a forum, whereas those that criticise them for their posts do little to move the debate along. It matters not a jot whether you believe or not...if you don't, why not just say so and be done?
  12. Wonder who this new striker is - could it be Arturo Lupoli as previously suggested on the rumour mill? Anyone got any info - it seemed well reported and almost a done deal? Frankly, I am preparing myself to be underwhelmed (as usual with SFC).
  13. I think Wilde was the face regarding JP's 'resignation' because (a) Lowe wanted to distance himself from another failed appointment and (b) Wilde is supposedly the football club Chairman and as such JP would report to him? Whichever way you cut-it, I think the action Duncan discusses for next week has happened already - i.e. Wotte's appointment as Head Coach. I don't think we have any reason to get excited. :mad:
  14. Sop for the fans - simple. :cool:
  15. Is this good news? Does he have his badges? Is this just some kind of sop for the fans to keep the protesters away from Rupes door? Is it another unfounded rumour? I think the latter two questions are the those with an affirmative answer. IMHO. PS: Hoorah! I have taken the plunge and wasted £5 to become a full member - this is my 1st post. This is in readiness for next season when I will not renew my ST and become an armchair supporter like many others on here. (-;
  16. Jan, I knew from the start it wouldn't work out for you. You did your best and it was woefully short of the mark. You failed in Holland and you've failed here, so I suggest you open a bar or something in Amsterdam, but just keep away from footie coaching. Anyway, I don't blame you - I blame your employer Lowe, who somehow has not learnt anything about appointing and keeping football managers despite 10 or 11 previous failed attempts.
  17. Wilde said that another striker was arriving. Perhaps Crouch offered to pay for the striker (Arturo L?) with the proviso JP was shown the door if he did? Lowe agreed but forgot to mention Wotte had been lined up for the job...
  18. He's rubbish - forget him...
  19. No - JP does not HAVE to be sacked - not if you want the club to carry on its current sure fire course to relegation and then possible administration. Look first things first - sort out the team (who are good players being taught bad habits) with a proper inspired manager (Dowie) who has a Saints affinity (Dowie). Then concentrate on getting rid of Lowe and Wilde. The other option is leave alone and utilise JP to put Saints into admin via relegation, thus ridding the club of Lowe and Wilde. The club might be closed down completely, but I do not think that will ultimately happen.
  20. Cannot believe 10% want Portaloo....must be Skates. (o;
  21. If the outcome of the meeting is exactly as stated then Lowe will reap the wrath of the fans, even if this is as simple as not buying anymore ST's or matchday tickets. Many people now are just no longer interested in supporting the club under its present structure - they would rather see the club go into administration and take its chances than see Lowe, Wilde and JP in place. However, the article does quote Lowe as giving JP the kiss of death with those time honoured words - "as I'm sat here he has my full support". OK, so how long before you stand up to be counted Lowe?
  22. In relation to both 'big' ideas posted on this thread, I believe BOTH need to be implemented. If publicised in the correct way (i.e. remove the negative - go with the positive 'save our Saints' position), these ideas will provide a huge amount of attention. Both ideas would need the involvement of the Police, particularly the protest march I would suggest. SaintRobbie - I think the club will be dead before a buyer is found. And anyway its less likely anyone will buy the club if we do not show how passionate the supporter base is...just standing by watching the death throes of the club while Lowe and/or Wilde fail to act is not the answer. You need to hit them where it hurts most and unfortunately that means taking away the PLC's biggest asset - it's customer support. Until that happens, Lowe will maintain a vice-like grip on the club and continue with his wacky ideas. I would attend both initiatives and I am sure many, many others would too. The time has come - let's pool our passion for the club and do something constructive.
  23. Good letter - will do nothing of substance though. Wilde clearly is as dynamic as a brick and will take no action as he's probably been told by Rupert that there will be no dissenters and 'terrorists' will be shot! This is the hand he has dealt us - league one football unless by some miracle Lowe is strong enough to get shot of JP and obtain a decent manager....perhaps Dowie. Dunno about you, but I am not holding my breath.
  24. Well I hate to say told you so, but I've been saying for months that JP is completely out of his depth. It was clear so long ago with the interviews AND the manner in which he had no plan B - i.e. for a long time he has seemed totally inept at making effective subs and we never seem to have a game plan that allows us to dominate. The guy does not deserve to be here still - many Chairmen would have sacked him before Christmas. But I fear Lowe will not admit failure - he will cite stability as the excuse for keeping faith with JP. We will be relegated it would appear - almost as certain as Lowe being here next season to rule over our further demise.
  25. At the moment, despite the fact I love my seat position, I am almost certainly NOT going to renew. There is NOTHING left to support. The club has died. The team is in chaos tactically. I have nothing but contempt for the Chairman who has made SO MANY strategic mistakes it beggars belief. There is NOTHING left to support...no hope of a home win...what enjoyment is there? None...it's over.
