I'm going to wear my colours today
Legod Third Coming replied to ooh it's a corner's topic in The Saints
Have just put my Fat Le Tiss shirt on for the first time in five years... Boy does it feel good to remember that money doesn't matter - my football club does! -
This is my theory. We win the first four games. And enter the fifth game on the grand total of 2 points. This is normally how many points we have accrued after five games, anyway. But with 22k ST holders and regular crowds of 29k, we suddenly catch fire and under our brilliant new English manager and board who have ENERGISED and above all ENGAGED the fans, we win the fecking league losing only three times - and all those at home in December.
-
or nickh??
-
And we were always here, all along....
-
That my friend is down to thee and me and our bravery. I for one shall be singing my fecking heart out for 124 years of our club and hoping to God for 124 more.
-
Done my bit - paid for a noisy adult and child to sit in the Chapel (seriously). Hope they cause a few spilt flasks!!!!! Up the SAINTS. This thread is what our club is about, not some ruddy-faced moron!!!
-
Amen to that brother. Afeckingmen.
-
That OJ Simpson - he never killed that woman you know.
-
Ah, that's ok then. But tell me, whay the feck are the wealthy now having to pay more tax to support the needy?? What a disgrace when the wealthy have an abject right to p!ss on anyone. Football's got it right. Shame on Darling.

What a Shame we were never treated as fans

There is a fundamental difference between 'tough decisions' and coming out with the reality of the situation. Like you, I thought we would find it tough going, and then we brought in players for £1.2m from under the nose of Arsene Wenger so you think 'oh, so things are not that bad then'... I'm not fecking omniscient am I. And nor is anyone else. But it was too much to engage with 'fans', among whom there are ideas, cash, and ABOVE ALL a love for the club and desire to see it survive - yes, even above a hatred of the ruddy-faced clown. Oh, hang on, it was a business with customers... oops. -
Well, it can't be your paymaster. He's dead. RIP Tony Hart

You are preaching to the converted my son. The country has a debt of £175bn. The world is in a financial crisis. And clubs who have been relegated from the Premiership are suffering financial ruin. And the league's plan is to put them out of business. What kind of club treats its members with such disdain??? And I say that as someone who campainged for Wimbledon to remain there and against the points deductions against Luton, Rotherham and Bournemouth. And only didn't with Leeds because they're dirty barstewards!!!!!! We all turn a blind eye to West Ham playing an illegal player and being in adminstration but little plucky clubs like Saints can go by the wayside... Thank you Brian Mawhinney - you clown.
-
When are West Ham being deducted their ten points then?
-
Because a time deadline was introduced to stop clubs who were likely to go down (Leeds) from going into admin when the deduction would have no effect. They want the deduction to cause problems to the club. Because the league want to punish you and me, not Rupert Lowe. They're good like that.

We needn't have been on thin ice. -
When I heard Rover were in financial trouble years ago I was sad that Britain was losing a car company of some long-standing and that thousands of people would lose their livelihoods. But it didn't make me buy a Rover. When I heard that Woolworths were in trouble, it didn't come as a surprise, still saddened me and I crossed the street to buy some pic-n-mix. But it didn't make me shift all my shopping there. When I heard MY CLUB was in trouble I wanted to do all I could. It made me want to go more often, to donate cash, to do something, anything. WHY OH WHY OH WHY... ...did someone at the start of this season not start PROPER dialogue with the fans about the perilous state of our finances and EMBRACE us as the people who always have been, always could be and always will be the heartbeat of the club. We were not customers to be left in the dark. All the efforts of the past few days is because people CARE. They cared as much in August. Shame on your Rupert Lowe and Michael Wilde and the remainder of the club and holding company's boards for your abject failure to engage with the people who now suffer at your total incompetence. Where was this season's fighting fund? Why buy Morgan Schneiderlin? Why take on players we could not afford? Why not give away the ones we could not pay? Why not offer reduced ticket prices for every game? But ABOVE ALL. Why did you not swallow your pitiful pride and talk to the people who made and make this club what it is. May you never sleep at night.

But the rest of us is fine...
-
These are all excellent questions. It is imperative that very quickly we establish how much is needed, from whom and where it's going. Am I simply paying into a pot to keep the business afloat (fine but tell me so) and/or can I contribute to purchase - if so how. But the key thing - how much do we have and how much do we need. Now it maybe that Fry cannot come out and answer those questions because it would not help our cause with regards to points deductions so you must also bear that in mind. But he could leak it, I'm sure...

I'll take an even fifty with you they finish no higher than seventh!
-
Bit unfair. Watford budgeted to be relegated. They were. He did his job. I don't see Dan Sh!ttu plying his trade in the top flight, after all!!!
-
Manchester City have a bigger budget than Real... how much do you want to bet with me now they finish no higher than 7th next year?
-
Wigley wasn't the best manager available was he? We could have employed the best manager available - we didn't!!!!!!
-
Oh, I must have missed Wotte getting Watford promoted to the Premiership on no money.
