  1. Not those who backed JP Mc Manus's horse in the Cross Country race...
  2. The point has nothing to do with investors - it has to do with whether we have the MONEY to fulfil this year's fixtures. It has to do with whether we can afford to pay stewards and ticket office staff. Christ, what part of needing £500k is too complex for you??
  3. People don't get it do they. It doesn't matter one jot who is on the pitch. It's not about going for them. It's about the FUTURE of a 124 year-old club which may or may not be here in another 124 years. Empty seats simply hasten the end of a football club that for all but a brief period has represented the town of Southampton, Hampshire and US in a way we can be proud to reflect on. The current team are irrelevant. The current manager is irrelevant. SURVIVAL is what I care about.
  4. Ok, the pillocks of the pitch don't deserve it. But for Ted Bates and the millions over the years who have believed in and loved your club. Don't let a seat at SMS go unfilled this week. Please.
  5. Spot on Mike. This is not about an offer per se. This is the worst type of horse-trading working on how little Barclays and Aviva will accept for their debts, or renegotiating new terms for their debts. In the end, the club could be sold for nothing as long as someone is prepared to honour an acceptable proportion of the creditors' debts. That will take time to go back and forth between all the parties. Those who make an offer will also want it conditional on the results of the FL deduction, etc. Just agreeing the offer will be hellish complex,
  6. When he signed it was on the basis that we remained in the Championship, so I doubt very much we'll see him here next season. Shame, he could do a job in League one.
  7. Barclays pulled the plug in order to kiss their £4m goodbye?? Banks act like this as a last resort. They clearly thought things were going to get a great deal WORSE. I love the way banks are just supposed to sit back and watch a board of directors kill a business and then when they step in it's somehow their fault? I didn't see anyone from Barclays on the touchline. I saw two Dutch clowns employed by a fecking idiot.
  8. I agree. A liability early on but a reformed character for the last couple of months. If only he'd been playing in a better side and a team with balance from the off. There's two or three of these lads who could have been great for us this season with the right players around them.
  9. Well, not touring holidays...
  10. I remember being top of the First Division and have the headlines to prove it - cos the kids sure wouldn't believe me!
  11. We need £250 Season Tickets and then really FILL THE PLACE!!!! There's a wind of change blowing - I can feel it!
  12. LOL - you know what's gonna happen, we'll all be in with the home fans at these grounds!!! Oh the good old days are here again!
  13. I did say on another thread and I really believe it - we were a far bigger club when we were small - if you know what I mean.
  14. The good news is that I'm looking forward to catching up with pals in all those places I wouldn't ordinarily have the reason to visit. Carlisle, for example, I fitted out an aquarium there a year or two back. Hartlepool gives me a chance to go and see the in-laws and Crewe the mistress, so not all bad is it ever?
  15. LOL! You wanted humour...
  16. No, it isn't. Because all results going for us includes OURS!!!!!
  17. John, have you been diagnosed with a terminal illness?
  18. But in Hull you have the perfect model (albeit they will end up relegated this year) but I meant the upward bit of their curve!!!
  19. And all these years, I didn't have you down as Lucy Pinder... (FWIW, I am proudly working class, but I have no desire to introduce yet another battle to the stands...)
  20. Relegation is not the problem really. If we are taken over then it has to be by someone with a bit of cash, which gives us half a chance. IF they mount a serious campaign to win back fans and rebuild, we may even sell (at the right price) 20k Season Tickets. And then we can have a promotion campaign with a brave new English manager to look forward to. Someone who can start work from May onwards and really BUILD a club to be proud of - without any of the current morons involved.
  21. Shiekh Hamdan Al Maktoum - close personal friend of Michael Channon Snr. You heard it here first my friend!
  22. Not Souness, please no. Let's just have someone with a bit of dress sense, eh? Gullit maybe.
  23. I'm sure and hope you meant cycles...
  24. As a result of a half-decent manager... which is where (assuming new ownership and survival) WE must start.
  25. Working class? So no aim to unite the fanbase there then...
