You're really asking for a manager who has an affinity for the club that will off-set working for Rupert. Or someone lower down who sees this as a massive job with potential. Of course, as the credit cruch bites, who knows... Maybe Davies could be persuaded because he needs to pay his mortgage? I would love Boothroyd, Davies or their ilk. But I fear big time we would get Wotte and/or Hockaday....

Those proven managers know an easier job will come along than ours. One where they either have more money or freedom and aren't trying to turn around a side bereft of money and its best players, relying on academy players. You don't need to be an agent, just to have some fricking common sense. You know what happens when we fire Jan.

Totally, the guy has more decency than our board has ever shown. He is humble, friendly and more willing to engage with fans than anyone I have ever seen in football. Results are one thing. Running the guy down quite another.

All I would say (albeit I think this is a bit of a useless debate) is that someone like Tisdale might be so self-assured that he thinks he can turn things around regardless of whom the Chairman is. We still have a 32k stadium, a Premiership infrastructure and potential. Remember, there are a lot of poor Chairmen about. We are not unique in that regard.
