I was thinking this earlier, but came to the conclusion that rather than being desperate and paying over the odds for a player, if it went to the last day and the selling club wouldn't budge, we'd probably just not buy the player.

I've just graduated and am currently just working part time while I work out what I'm going to do. I don't regret going to uni, as for me it wasn't really about getting more spending power, but I don't think it's going to give me any particular advantage in the job market in the near future. Most of the graduate jobs I've looked at range from 18k to 25k a year, though my friend just took one for 16k a year, which for 40 hours a week seems unbelievably low. I don't really want to rush into something I don't really want to do, and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up doing something that has nothing to do with my degree. It's a bit depressing to think though that those 3 years and thousands of pounds worth of debt probably weren't worth it in monetry terms, but they were fun!

Cork seems to have either won or been a top contender in all four of our first games. Pretty good!

Well, he called off the Charlton away gamne last christmas because a part of the pitch was frozen, despite having asked for the heaters to be removed from that particular part of the pitch to another part. The game you're probably thinking of is LEeds at home in League One though. We won 1-0 but no thanks to his awful refereeing.

As if the players wouldn't have noticed! We were sat the other side to the camera angle and it definitely hit the bar, right in the middle of the goal.

Finally managed to get my phone on charge on the train back! Motm has got to go to Cork tonight I think, absolutely outstanding overall performance. Other than him, I think Rickie was outstanding. Not for his goals, which were both well taken, but for his build up play. He won so many headers tonight and his first touch and short passing was outstanding IMO. I also thought Richardson was impressive again.

Anyone else buying their tickets from Portman Road this evening?

The person I'm going with is a student who lives in London. Called the Saints ticket office to ask whether they'd except a photocopy of his student card to buy a discounted ticket, because he isn't coming down between now and Tuesday. He was told that they wouldn't accept a photocopy but he could buy a ticket on the day. So in short, yes, so long as the Ticket office werent making stuff up again.
