I think in the long term that's probably about right, but Adkins won't drop a player just because he's bought another in their position- look at Harding and Fox. There's no way a new striker would walk straight into the team, no matter how much we pay for them. He will have to settle for the bench until Connolly or Lambert stop performing and he proves he's worthy of replacing them. IMO.

Schneiderlin looked impressive to me yesterday, I'm sure the eventual pairing will be him and Cork, though there is no doubt Hammond has had a great start to the season.

Fair enough, couldn't get to that game so can't argue with that, but in the games I've seen he's been unplayable.

I also thought he was poor defensively and the goal got him off the hook a bit. For example for their second goal the ball should never have made it into the middle and then Guly should have been first to the ball. He was beaten quite a few times, but tbh I think the entire defense had a poor first half. Reckon Leicester probably identified our fullbacks as the weakness and they couldn't handle the movement of their attackers.

Which was why it was nice to see De Ridder come on, get the ball and put his head down and run at their defence.

Well no one has managed to do that with any degree of success so far. I do agree we look weak at Right Back though. Would have liked to have seen us go for Clyne from Palace.

There were a couple of times when Fonte and Seaborne made excellent and vital last ditch tackles. Unfortunately these were necessary because they'd let their man - usually Vassel- get past them far too easily in the first place.
