It doesn't really matter to us if they play the kids against Huddersfield as that should be a home win whatever they put out. And if they go for the win against us that suits us just fine.

Personally I'd go with this but also swap Butterfield for Richardson.

Mostl of the Northam on sale for Wallsall + Block 1
for_heaven's_Saint replied to dune's topic in The Saints
There was a bit of that yesterday but not as bad as before. I sit in block 42 and whilst it is a little funny at first, it gets quite annoying and personally I welcome more fans! -
What age to take kids to saints - vftt. was wrong

Lol, surely if she's that sensitive to the noise it might be best to leave her at home! -
Would be good to be winning at half time with Huddersfield and Daggers at 0-0 (or Daggers winning!) so that when they read the scores out it will make the Huddersfield fans even more edgey and hopefully transfer to their players.

Upgrading a season ticket for today's Hartlepool game?
for_heaven's_Saint replied to Tractor_Saint's topic in The Saints
As said above, you could probably get away with not changing it, but yes it is possible to upgrade it, I think if you do it at the ticket office they will take your season ticket and give u another ticket, then you get the ST back after the game, so you can't use it twice. -
It certainly did, at our end at least. The ball was never passed directly back to Davis but always via one or even two other people. They also seemed to remove the ball boys from the side of the pitch completely in the second half, which backfired when they got a throw-in in our half in injury time and had to wait for their keeper to return the ball. When Adkins walked out for the second half he had a go at the ball boys on the way past, as well as staring up at all the fans shouting abuse at him smiling, which wound them up even more and 'rallying' the Saints fans. Everything Adkins accused them of was prove correct and ultimately I think Adkins played Mind games and won. Poyet can say whatever he likes after the game, Adkins got into his, the Brighton players' and fans' before and during it. All IMHO of course.

I liked this on one of their forums: 'I have criticised managers in the past for having defeatist attitudes but this time is different, Southampton are on fire, unstoppable. In a game between the Saints and Barcelona I would have to back the Saints. (Also, we tend to have an away game where we totally colapse every couple of months, we're due another.)'

Ha at least that **** Ferguson won't be going up automatically.

FFS the bloke on Football Focus again says that our GD is now only 1 better than Huddersfield's. Are these people professionals?
-
3-0. Bloke on football focus saying it now puts us level on Goal Difference. Errrr, not it doesn't.
-
2-0 Huddersfield

FFS!! Get the impression it's not going to be our day?!

Mk Dons 0 - 1 Huddersfield

I shall be sitting in front of Sky Sports News anticipating news of a goal at Stadium MK or Brisbane Road and then praying it has gone to the home side.

Could someone please copy and paste the whole article on to this thread? It doesn't show up on the OS Mobile site.

I'd go back in time and say Happy Birthday to Augustin Delgado.

Seidi looks like a mini Guly!
-
I think Chamberlain, Barnard, Schniederlin and Lallana would all be in our best 11. Only Lallana is a possibility for Saturday.
-
I neither want to big up our chances or Brighton's. I think it could go either way but I certainly don't think we should be scared of a thrashing, or at the same time should be suggesting that we will thrash them.
-
Whilst Richardson is quicker and perhaps more attack minded, he seems to have games where he struggles to find our players with any of his passes, for example Tranmere and Rochdale away, therefore I'd be inclined to stick with the unspectacular yet consistant Buttefield.
-
Do you not reckon Guly is more suited to a forward role? I know Forte often played up front for Scunny but I'd say he is better used on the wing, or at least more effective out wide than Guly.
-
I would like to see: --------------Davis------------- Butterfield--Fonte--Jaidi--Dickson -------Hammond--Chaplow------- Forte----------------------Lallana --------Lambert-----Guly--------- Possibly stick with Stephens rather than Chaplow as he hasn't done much wrong but also hasn't made a massive impression thus far.
-
Why drop Butterfield, Hammond AND Guly?! Guly not even in the squad despite the fact you can't think of enough players to fill the bench? And who's this Dickinson fellow?
-
Fonte: Chamberlain should stay, for now.
for_heaven's_Saint replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
At least if he does leave in the summer we'll already be used to him not being in the line up due to his injury!
