Tame, I'm usually good at judging a person's character but it seems on this occassion I got it wrong. Shame because if you don't think I don't support Southampton then you are seriously deluded. I support Lowe today and hopefully in the future I will support AN Other. FWIW I even supported Crouch and not for one minute did I consider boycotting the club even though it appeared Crouch seemed intent on putting a big top across the stadium considering the number of clowns he had in support and his fortune telling rhetoric. Do you seriously think that this little hot bed of negativity would be worthy of my time and effort if I was in Lowe's employ (Far bigger issues to resolve than 500 negatively repetitive extremists). I do it simply because I love my club and an attempt to stem the tide of the mainly one-sided and very negative opinion. -

It seems in your case an egg in mouth is required. Shock horror I didn't address your opinions. Perhaps I will the day posters like you and of your kind address all the valid opinions of my own without the associated hysterics. There are many posters on this site who I don't agree with but always happy to enter a reasonable debate with them. Then there are the serial negative extremists whom quite frankly would be like trying to administer the kiss of life to some barely idenitifable form of road kill whilst the magpies and jackdaws picked at the rotting carcass. In other words your past saving your views are as anachronistic as the world in which you would like to live, probably c.1973. -

If you said this in 2003 then I would listen but now you are just after-timing. Lowe is trying to turn the club around and looks on the cusp of achieving it and get us back at least to a position we were in before has was ousted. Until this club is taken over with sufficient investment for the shareholders to sell and for the club to move forward in Lowe we must trust. Prejudice is sadly easy to imitate but not so easy to explain or understand when put under the microscope. There is not only one answer: The fans (on this forum) could actually try and look at the issues in context and support Lowe and the rest of the board as they try and arrest two years of decline and bad management. -

But you could go back through every manager and chairman combination and find fault with many players we have signed, sold or loaned in and out. Schneiderlin will prove a decent investment and should return a profit and we stlll need to wheel and deal and Crouch had to cash in on our previous sales of the family china. Yes we made some bad buys/loan signings but we made some good ones to. Cork Holmes and Wotton have been used to good effect and the jury is out still on Molyneux but has to be a better and cheaper option than Skacel eventually. Skacel has never represented value for money by any stretch of the imagination. Loaning Saga was a mistake but did we have an option? We can only interpret the accounts but that won't show the cashflow at that time or bank pressure. John and Rasiak (work rate) I don't think would have helped our cause and probably had to go anyway because of their wages so the argument is redundant to a degree. Pekhart was a mistake but hardly a costly one. Leaving us rightly to question Pulis and Gasmi assuming we agree Liptak still needs a chance and we need defenders. I can't work out Pulis and Gasmi but I can't work out the Rubiks cube either and I'm not going to waste my energy on either. Importantly things are looking better and we have a manager of apparent character and quality. MOney and market conditions remain the major concern. 60 points though and that might not be a disaster provided we get a buyer. Actually disaster in the making if said buyer logs on here! -

As oppose to the mess Rupert Lowe has been trying to address? Open your mind Daren. I would address your selective 'facts' but i don't want to put an egg in everyone else's mouth who can see where your facts fall down. No point in having two eyes if you only use one. -

Blimey just a touch hysterical yesterday. The talent of Pericard? Do some of you not understand irony. I was merely recognising some of the great Pearson unforced (i.e not Wright) loan signings (more irony) and I still remain convinced that we could have got a CB of the equal or better than Lucketti who could have played our last handful of games. Didn't require much foresight did it? Where does better necessarily mean more money? Saejis or Thomas? Schneirderlin or Skacel? I could list a few more but then I would just be doing an UM trying to fabricate a few examples when 1 or 2 makes the point. Tamesaint nice touch about the plant to boost the forum but I know many fans who don't come on this site with similar (that's similar not necessarily same, ok Daren) views to myself but can't be bothered to join let alone post because of the negativity and bullying. For those who actually just want to support the club and comment accordingly this forum is depressing without some vociferously single minded and opinionated half-wits slagging them off just because they can't respond astutely to fair comment that may question their ill-conceived and petty agendas. Tame FWIW I am actually enjoying the banter with your goodself at the moment and that unlike a few recent posters on this thread I'm trusting you agree with the great Edward De Bono he of the many hats, when he said: 'If you never change your mind, why have one?' When this club stays up at the end of the season and remains trading there are going to be about 500 bitter and twisted individuals trying to work out where it all went wrong. Alternatively they could change their mind and drop the negativity today. Revolutionary? where would the world be if we based all our decisions on the basis that it worked last time? For that alone I applaud the Dutch experiment because if it had come off we would have been hailed ground breakers and in such difficult times it was the time to try otherwise UM would have keeled over if Lowe had tried it in the Premiership, funny though that would have been. Many successful outcomes in life are random or worse lucky (Pearson/Wright) and sometimes its a good idea to take the contrary view even though some are hard coded to over react or spontaneously combust as evidenced by some hysterical and manic outbursts. The remnants of the Dutch experiment is still with us and proving the theory was not a total waste of time. Goes to show how important a little insurance is, may reduce your profit/increase your costs but eliminates or reduces the risks of disaster so perhaps the anti-Lowes were wrong to label it a Dutch experiment more a calculated risk. Unlike many on here I am thoroughly looking forward to the last 10 games of the season with one wary eye on the financials and the market in general. Survive this season and remain in the CCC and we have the structure in place to take this club forward and forget the disaster of the previous two seasons. -

We both know administration was becoming a reality this time last year and unless you have a seat on the board we can only summise the answer to your questions but basically I'm sure everything was done with cost in mind and the fact that Pearson would not have fitted in with the cost cutting regime and as great managers go simply wasn't worth the risk and was as unproven as JP. -

Who said eligible? I said available and Gemmel suggested it was because of contracts talks stalled because of Lowe's call for the EGM. Please read previous posts. -

??? Did I say the bank are being more liberal? Costs have increased through Saejis and Saga but crowds have increased and we have not added to our cost base by replacing JP externally. IMO the bank have thought we were on the road to ruin this time last year and its only the timely intervention of Lowe and Wilde that has saved us until now but I still believe administration is 50/50 as the bank don't want the unsecured overdraft on their books who will want to ramp up costs significantly that teh club can't support them. That unsecured borrowing is nothing to do with Lowe he is just trying to manage the situation hence his silence IMO and events on the pitch may still be superfluous by decisions at Barclays. You just need to read between the lines and other key signals. Trouble is most can't see them because of their blind hatred of the man trying to save us. -

Perry, Saejis, Jack Cork could have stayed but preferred Watford - more fool him. My point may I remind you is why bring in a player for your last few games and not make sure he is ok to play in all of them. It's not as though we had another 46 games to play. Pearson will go the same way as Ince, Cotterill, Holloway, Jewell and so many other promising managers. Even Burley lived off his Ipswich success and has done nothing since. If Pearson adopts the same style at leicester as he did here they will struggle. Div 1 is a poor league. Sorry if that upsets you all but that is my opinion. -

Times change as do expectations. We live in the era of the information super highway and demands on us all are many many times greater than 50 years ago. Your question is so completely out of context its about as relevant as asking me why Ford don't make the Zodiac anymore or why we have such high gas bills? -

Strange you ignore the fact we had to off load as many off our high earners as posisble before we got to today's point to reduce costs and allow Saga back. Strange you also ignore the fact that we have entered a recession since August, credit is even tighter and bank chairmen are being called to account for their actions in front of the Treasury Select Committee. Perhaps their aversion to risk is even gretaer and perhaps we all need to stop looking at the decisions made at this club solely in isolation to your own unreasonable expectations. -

No need to get boisterous just because you don't agree with my opinion that Wotte is far superior manager to Pearson and that shall be proven next season. Remind me why Pearson signed Wright? Did he identify a goalkeeping weakness in our squad or did he kneejerk to the unprecedented event of all 3 keepers being injured at the same time. IMO that one freak event kept us up more than any influence Pearson had and we continue to overlook the talent of Pericard. Pearson also overlooked all the talent in our youth and play the balance of youth and experience we all seem to agree on. Gillett and Lallana were given bit parts and should have been used more for a manager so keen on Youth. Do you accept Lucketti was our only option to take a CB on loan instead of signing an even better player who could at least be available for all remaining games. Gemmel talks about the fact we couldn't give him a contract because of the fact Lowe requested the EGM but doesn't it cross anyone's mind that we didn't have a pot to **** in by them and the EGM was a convienient smokescreen for Crouch to throw up? Compare Leicester to Leeds I don't think the former started off with -29 points did they? Also a big result on Saturday to stop the decline in results against a team bottom of the league and every player on the transfer list. Blimey Weymouth could give Cheltenham a game at the moment. People need to start looking at stats and facts in context of todays world and the introduction of Sky TV if we are going to compare the past 12 years with the previous 50! -

Was their timing of calling for an AGM sickening or necessary to quickly retain control of the club in an efforts to save it. Putting Crouch in charge was like giving a very sick patient a placebo IMO. What part of your posts are to do with the footballing side of things as you seem to be talking about contracts and EGM's and other off the field matters. See Me -

Did I mention anything about Perry being rubbish or Wright whom we were merely lucky to sign because of injuries to all our keepers. Do you think Pearson nobbled them to get Crouch to bring in Wright and sod the money? Lucketti was a ridiculous signing if we could not make use of his previous contributions in the most important games of last season or for 50 years and you'd have thought Pearson may have picked up on a potential conflict of interest. Can we question decisions of anyone apart from Lowe and his appointments? I find your overuse of smileys a little disconcerting and not sure if its your stab at humour or something altogether more sinister. Hardly fits your profile as a middle aged football fan with an alledged professional background. Each to their own but personally I find it worrying. -
Ssh you'll up set the doom mongers and nay sayers who believe Derby is a must win game when looking at their form its our hardest fixture of a very difficult run of 8 games that makes are remaining 9 look like a cake walk. I doubt many of our relegation rivals last 8 games mirror the games we've had. All teams challenging for/or in the top 6 and the best current form team in the league. Makes QPR, Blackpool, Watford, Palace, Charlton look like bankers wins in my postively sunny and bright confidence that we'll survive. Hope yet we may get 60 points and survive a points deduction if we go into admin because apart from Wobbly Wolves I'd fancy our chances against anyone we've got to play after Derby given the manner of our performances under Wotte. Be quiet though as it's an upsetting thought for those who'd rather see the club relegated than Lowe book a place in the boardroom for another season. Strange fans.

If you are going to adopt a youth policy because you are hamstrung by 2 years of financial mis-management on a grand scale why shouldn't you adopt the Dutch ethos that is generally regarded as the best way to coach youth football and why our FA and many others no doubt have visited their facilities. The Dutch way, will still work for us and Saejis is a signing I doubt the 20 minute Messiah could have plucked out. He would have gone looking for Lucketti and checking what other clubs he didn't want to play against before we signed on loan. Perhaps you'd prefer we'd signed players like Dean Windass to keep us from the drop? -

Your response is typical of those who berate what the club has tried to achieve in some very difficult circumstances. You respond with ignorance to those cicrumstances and just try to enforce your own opinions without any substance. Paul Jewell could have got Leicester promoted or even Justin Fashanu, Derak Acorah and an ashtray (Just for Tamesaint). You consider that I am not of this planet but I am not the one suggesting McGoldrick was ever a good striker but recently under Wotte we have seen a different player entirely playing in a deeper role except he is not fit enough to last the 90 mins. Personally, I wouldn't have given him a 3 week contract but there you go, its probably good business with some of the signings in Lowe's absence. Bad decisions are not exclusive to Lowe as far as this club goes. I am quick to use the Financial situation to justify Lowe's decision making, just as quick as you are to dismiss it because it has determined every move this club has made from the moment Lowe walked back in and he has had to make that his priority otherwise all our players would now be on the transfer list and the for sale boards up at Staplewood and Jackson's Farm. The fact you no longer feel it is relevant is not even narrow minded but bloody minded stupidity, complete ignorance or an overriding stubborn refusal, probably based in prejudice, to accept how far this club has fallen without Lowe at the helm - fact. I support this club unconditionally until someone comes in with £50m and the promise of more I'll back whoever is in charge, even Crouch, who I suggested last week Lowe should invite back on the board. Hardly mirroring board policy there but you seem to only read the stuff where you misguidedly believe you can undermine my passion for this club and desire to see it survive. However, if you read my posts they are my own opinions and they are often aligned within the board but often they are not. Is the latter my way of trying to disguise my PR identity, maybe if you are that gulliable and stupid. If Crouch was chairman (god forbid) I would never protest or boycott as what purpse does it serve without an alternative. I dislike Crouch for treating fans as donkeys, stupid enough to be mesmerised by his carrots of investment and crazy false prophecy. Crouch talked a good game but Lowe has been prepared to take the necessary and unpopular and at times wrong decisions to keep this club just about off its knees. We can only hope and support the club to ensure the efforts of the board payoff. I don't have much time for Eric Daniels at the moment but having banked with his organisation for many years I am not going to create a huge amount of work and hassle for myself to move my accounts, mortgages and investments in a fit of pique because I am unhappy with some of his decisions. Am I? That would be like boycotting my football team because I don't care that much for the man in charge so choose to stop my hobby I have enjoyed for my years. Life is short and I will not falter from supporting my club. I can't wait for those ST applications to be sent out because if nothing else it will be the first poistive sign we've had in a while the club is on a slightly firmer footing. -
Gordon you seem to the bigoted one full of hatred and frustration and all because I am trying to manipulate you? Are you that easily manipulated or threatened by some fairly run of the mill comments that you need to lose your self control? Your thoughts on SFC are so well made and effective you could just be the Vincent Pericard of the forum. CK Chesterton wrote ' Bigotry may be roughly defined as the anger of men who have no opinions'. Read my original post again and then read your response. Chesterton's quote has you down perfectly don't you think? If you want to insult me to the point I stop posting you are going to have to try a lot harder than that. Try starting with some wit and intelligence, oh and some facts because if you had the opportunity to pick me out from a line up of likely candidates based on your preconceptions I'd be the last man standing. You though might be a little easier, spittle is a give away.

No walk and tokenism until the QPR game, is that because it's a school night? Candlelit walk to the stadium on Tuesday evening and candlelit vigil at the Ted Bates status might be very effective unless you've got an important lecture at catering collage on Wednesday morning. Still you don't have to go to the game. LOWE OUT, WOTTE OUT, ADMINISTRATORS IN (or Crouch in if we ever get round to asking him)
-
Agreed Um (don't say that very often) Derby are really firing and will be as difficult to beat as any of our previous 7 games that have all been against top half opposition and mostly teams in the top 6 or just outside seriosuly challenging for a play off spot. there are not many of our fellow relegation battlers who have played such a difficult run of games and it is an amazing effort on the part of Wotte and the team that we are still in touch, have a game in hand on most and reduced our goal difference to a more competitive level than it was. A defeat against Derby will be nothing to be concerned about provided that same level of application is shown by the team and the crowd don't get on their backsif the result goes against. We still have the following: QPR - can't score, going nowhere in the league, just the type of mid table team you want be playing at this stage. Blackpool - very poor and thanks to a very flukey goal from Brett were fortunate until then to break down a woeful Norwich. Charlton - they say football is about confidence. They are 12 points from safety and technically could be relegated bar goal difference by this game. (They did have over 20k at their game today though ) Watford - managed to scrape by a hapless Charlton. Cork needs to rue his mistake for following his boyhood manager and we know Raisak will hardly be a handful. Palace - more 'refereeing mistakes' masquearading as an excuse for your team being outplayed for the king of the moaners. 2 wins from 10 I think it is at the moment very beatable. Sheff Wed - See QPR comments and if Barnsley can beat them away I'm sure we can. Then we have Wolves - 2 shaky 1-0 wins suggests they will carry on wobbling yet, Burnley may have nothing to play for by the time we play them and their recent form is poor compared to early season and Forest last game of the season. I reckon we will be safe by then but it would be sweet to send Billy Davies into Division 1 as we all punch the air, 'Billy style', with delight. So Derby look the hardest game on current form of our last 10 and I reckon we are booked for about 55 points win, lose or draw on Tuesday night.
