  1. Terribly sorry, an English Literature degree doesn't quite cut-it when interpreting the genius that is hypo. You said you would rather see saints being less successful and get to go to the majority of games than see saints doing well in the premiership but only being able to go to a handful. Can't really see how that can be misinterpreted. The only way we could not play in the premiership is through failing to get enough points for promotion. The only way we couldn't get those points is by losing. You can't say you don't want us to get promoted (because you can't afford premiership football) but also say you want us to do as well as we possibly can. Surely your dauntingly-impressive intellect can grasp that.
  2. Why in God's name should a chairman be judged on his PR ability any more than his ability to run a successful football club?!
  3. So that's why you post such carp, you actually want us to do badly so you have something to do on a Saturday. Unbelievable.
  4. Reached Plymouth, am I on the right track?
  5. Final straw for me. I'm off to follow Bournemouth. Bye.
  6. What about the behind the scene stuff we don't know about? P.S. One of the funniest posts I've ever read.
  7. i.e. you?
  8. Is that the brigade that were proved right? It's not by chance, but because people thought we'd get promoted... which we did.
  9. Ah yes. I was referring to the OP Walsall game actually, my bad. There are more deciding factors than if something is or is not against the rules though, aren't there? None of the negativity is against forum rules, but that doesn't stop it from winding other posters up, that's all. By all means overly-dramatic posts are borne out of a failure to control boundaries, but why should anyone else have to control their frustrations over the actual post? It winds me up that anybody (not aimed at individuals) could get as angry over losing a game as us nearly losing our club. We know what it's like to nearly disappear, so shouldn't we always be a little more thankful about what we have? Now, why do I have to control my frustration about a post when the poster has shown an inability to do so? It's a slippery slope.
  10. Hi Alpine, Any chance of engaging in discussion with me? Like to think I've made some valid points...
  11. Isn't it more about the way you show frustration than that it existed? I mean we were all frustrated by that loss, but not every poster claimed Adkins was a sh*t manager etc (I know a fair few did). A lot of blokes get into fights because of frustration or as a response to something that's happened, but that doesn't excuse the actions, just explains what lead to it.
  12. Can't reveal my source, sorry. It is good info though, from the same guy who tipped me off about Zlatan Ljubijankic
  13. So you're allowed to be wrong about something provided you don't linger on the subject? Surely you don't believe that!
  14. It wasn't Canada's intention to pick on hypo in particular- it just so happens that hypo has wound up so many posters on here they promptly turned on him. There was a lot of guff posted by a lot of people. I think it's good that CanadaSaint brought this old thread up. It's nice to have a bit of accountability on the internet. That's how real life works- you make a claim and people hold you to it. Even if something is said in the heat of the moment, it still reveals plenty about your character about WHAT you say. P.S. My Dad and penis are both bigger.
  15. Which players were considered journeymen back then? Amazing how nearly all the team now feel like our own.
  16. You don't know JustMike by any chance?
  17. OK, they're invited too.
  18. Saint Garrett = Official Secretary
  19. May I cordially invite you to join my attention seeker club? Glasgow and I are leaders, we have a few others popping in here and there, but there is a Jack sized hole (a Jackhole) which we think you'd do a great job of filling. P.S. All you have to do is pledge allegiance to our honorary president, JustMike.
  20. Lowe didn't have the ambition for us to improve on our FA cup final season. Mid-table comfort was the limit of his aspirations. There are some similarities between RL and NC in they support the youth and sit on the innovative side of the fence. Just because people hate Lowe and love Cortese- they don't have to be polar opposites in every possible way. They're both men for a start!
