Hopefully, worryingly he got nowhere near the low crosses either, what worried me most yesterday was that we put enough decent crosses into the box and nobody got anywhere near them

He was but him and elia still took up much of the same positions -
The brown tackle was a red card, getting the ball is largely irrelevant
-
When was he caught coming off his line ?
-
He couldve done better possibly but in reality its hit hard, well and is moving so is very difficult. He did well to get to it, so I cant really be blame him too much IMO. His crappy clearance to save a corner was however pretty poor

Pretty much what I saw, Ive nothing wrong with a patient build up but you need to mix it up a bit. We managed to get behind them but never really turned them around and yes they were able to get themselves organised far too easily. I think thats why Mane cane on to, in order to try and turn them around. In reality as was said on another thread Mane and Elia got in each others way. Pelle was pretty poor today for me, made a nuissence of himself and had a few flicks but never really held it up or ever got into any decent goalscoring positions. He should have got on the end of one of our many crosses but was often too deep -
All the pundits agree it was a red then, and the more I watch it thebmore it looks a red. He clearly looks to clear him out, and he had plenty of time to time that tackle better, in fact it was so bad he almost missed the ball altogether. Thankfully we have targett who is an able understudy as that was IMO a moment of madness from Ryan

Hopefully he'll get some game time out on loan
-
Your right but that change wouldnt really have effected anything really. He took a gamble, which personally Im sort of glad he is willing to go for the jugular
-
Because nobody got on the end of any of them
-
He will do, vic, morgan and Davis are our best 3 but Prowsey for me isnt far from Davis in terms of what he brigs to the team. He certainly wasnt rubbish today anyway. And on a bit of a tangent, if I were to pick one of JWP and Reed Id pick JWP
-
Dunno, I can only go by experience, and by no means am I a premier league player but from experience those sort of chances come at you quickly, you dont get time to pick a corner etc you just need to get good contact, which to be fair to him he did. Keeper got a toe onto it, decebt save His shot later on was weak and woeful, that you can criticise, plus if he would have spooned it etc then maybe the criticism would be fair Thats my personal opinion anyway
-
My point being it wasnt a lack of reed that was the fault
-
That wasnt exactly reeds fault though, there were players there, they just didnt do their job
-
I thought it would be tadic personally Thought Elia looked really good today, except for his final ball
-
To allow more players to go forward
-
Hopefully you fall down the stairs later, good job
-
I think he had every intention to hurt him personally. Followed through, reckless, high Definate red for me, winning the ball is largely irrelevant
-
If we have that much possession and crosses then we will win comfortably
-
Play like today against QPR and we will destroy them basically

Nah, disagree -
Didnt see how taking Reed off opened the game up for them either... It didnt.. We lost due to not closing down Shelvey on their odd counter attack. Not a specific issue with a lack of Reed, just poor defending really. If anything removing JWP from the front four was worse than the Reed removal. There was no longer a real link between defence and attack in the way that Prowse was acting. Elia, tadic and Mane all operated from wide, meaning Dacis ad Prowse had to push forward to provide support. Not a massive issue as essentially Swansea were easy enough to deal with. It was worth the gamble, we needed to break them down. And extra support pushing forward should have helped to facilitate that.

Apart from his assists you mean ? Such as one against Newcastle ? So yes, apart from setting up goalscoring chances he doesnt effect games. Baffling those that are saying he missed an easy chance today, he didnt, it was a goid save. Anyone thats been in a similar situation on a football pitch will agree

Yeah, for a striker he got nowhere near any of our low crosses today. They werent bad crosses at all for me, they were either well defended or just had no ree n white anywhere near them. Pelle frustrates the hell out of me, why he has to try to smash the ball into next tuesday instead of having a bit of composure is beyond me
