  1. This really Its a possibility we could hit the ground running but all indications say that it will be an upward struggle regardless of the quality of incoming. Those posters saying we will be ok with 4-5 incoming were the same slamming Sunderlands excessive transfer policy last year and dooming them to failure
  2. Have you watched Tadic play ? At all ? Have you even watched Benega play ? Do you base anything on anything in reality or are you just a FM plum ? Dont know who Koeman is ? Your clueless mate, lets get Rhodes in to lead the line eh ?
  3. Id say as far as a CEO of a football club was concerned overseeing two promotions and effectively massively improving the overall value of the club wasnt bad going. Ultimately it was the fact that his was the only opinion that mattered whether it was his money or not was his downfall
  4. The fact that Rodgers is pulling the strings is whimsical ******** Id say. Like most things, your head doesnt get turned unless you've started looking, unfortunately its the clubs lack of ambition that has caused the players to look for new pastures and once theyve looked the cash on offer has convinced them.
  5. He has had reasonable success in holland and won a cup in spain? So arguably a better record then MoPo who proved himself to be a very good appointment
  6. Im not entirely sure how I managed to read this far without skimming, never have I read such utter dribble
  7. Not entirely sure how you've managed to blame MoPo and not the board but there you go. Even after Cortese left the players were talking about the new board getting behind their ambitions and MoPo spoke of staying. If the 35m transfer kitty (plus sales) was there originally then that ambition could have been kept. I think ultimately KL never realised that NC would actually quit, and as that happened left here in the lurch. Scraping around for someone that could lead, it was clear that there was a lot of uncertainty, now, its not necessarily the boards fault, perhaps it shouldve been managed better but whats done is done. The players realised the club no longer held their ambition and they looked elsewhere. As did MoPo, who I think WOULD have stayed if things reletively remained the same however ****ed me off by employing some very underhand tactics upon leaving, perhaps, again the board should have been stronger a la Swansea 'sign or go' Unfortunately the damage is done, clearly Lovren hasnt bought conpletely into Saints, but he was up for the challenge, I dont blame him for wanting out, its the way the players are forcing their way out thats more worrying, there seems to be a need to leave the sinking ship. Jury is still very much out for the current captains of the old ship southampton and the waters are getting very choppy
  8. More likely to be converted to a CB then anything, CM if you absolutely have to but out wide ? No
  9. Leave my mum out of this timothy
  10. Why does it allways come down to using someones first name ?
  11. Indeed agree Think the new board have shown how they have struggled to hit the ground running, hopefully starting to learn now. As much as Cortese was a tit he obviously was a good footballing chairman, if only he wasnt a massive ****
  12. Exactly, I can understand why they want out, I would, like I said loyalty abd ambition is two ways, the club possibly isnt (atleast openly saying it realistic or not) matching our top players ambition now, hence why Lallana and Shaw left. 120m however is a veritable warchest that spent correctly could make us stronger, Lallana is replaceable around 20-30m, Shaw is at his current level. A few shrewd signings that adapt and it could be all change. You have to convince the players however, and you do that by spending and pushing for the same dream
  13. Exactly what I said would happen, lose 1-2 and the pack of cards crumbles. The board needs bottle now, stand firm on Morgan and Lovren, its not a championship year this year after all. Tell them that we will rebuild, and if we dont progress they are free to leave next year. They are, after all, under contract, as much as they can go on strike, essentially that means no pay. Morgan will be the biggest loss
  14. You can pretend all you like the amount of players that are openly attempting to force their way out of the club speaks volumes IMO. And all were happy with the journey last year amd even said at the end of the season about wanting the club to buy better and progress, we are now a manager and 2 players down, maybe 4 in a week or so. So yes, lol all you want, the exodus is unprecidented at this level
  15. Tweet em bud, seem to be pretty chatty on twitter
  16. You cant really arhue with his performance ?! As much as he was a poison dwarf
  17. Irritating taditch ? Ill get me coat
  18. Like it, I wont buy it, 50 quid for a footie shirt is a massive rip off, I tried to get the black away kit last year as a training top when it dropped in price but thats all I use them for in reality I did like last years kit, the kit before not so much, thats not necessarily cos I dislike stripes they just get a bit stale IMO. This kit for our home brand is excellent though
  19. Doesnt really matter the reality of it if your able to convince the players of the project, up to you whether you think that makes the players stupid or not
  20. Well.... For a striped kit thats pretty goid, usually I find them boring and liked the break we have had with a few different designs. The kits quite nice though
  21. In the words of one of my old school teachers 'what the **** are you on about ?'
  22. I cannot see him being on 9k a week personally
