  1. There was a heavy dose of sarcasm in that post Dunc
  2. Welbeck, cleverley, downing, carroll, jagielka, walker All crap
  3. Personally if we stay up I want a striker that actually plays as a striker, as I said, if Poch insists we are better with Rickie deeper than play him deeper and invest on a proper front man. Personally I dont really like that option as I have a feeling that Gaston will be V effective there next year, plus Gaston tries to help out with the high pressing that we do whereas Rickie hasnt got the legs
  4. I think yesterday shows how lacking our squad depth was, FWIW, we did ok but I like everyone else was worried by a lack of Morgan and Yoshi. Even with Ramirez banned, as much as he wasnt really setting the eorld slight we look woefully short. We need new first choice; Striker CM CB And then need to look at someone who can cover LB and RB (this could always be a player who can be versatile)
  5. Wrote this on the match thread; I was talking about him the other day and that, for me we miss someone like Benteke, Lukaku or Michu. If you really want Lambert to sit as deep as he does then play him in midfield and play someone else upfront to get on the end of things. What exactly is the point of a striker who is rarely in the box ? ---- personally itll be a position that we need to strengthen next year, a real all round striker with quality is needed
  6. As much as its not something I would do myself, it really doesnt bother me what other people are wearing, are you really that precious ? Football wise, reckon we will win, 2-0.

  8. Hmm, no Morgan or Yoshi, this may be a bit of a struggle today
  9. The royal oak will be packed, the Yacht and also the bridge show games I think, and the pub that used to be jesters ?
  10. Traffic I believe
  11. When the dins are around there really is no point besty. I mean, after all, Rio Ferdinand is overrated tosh
  12. Oh MLG you never fail to cheer me up
  13. I dont think players can we officially registered until July 1st and so will play no part in integration to the team etc before that date but players do sign with clubs before that. Whether they sign pre-contracts, a statement of intent to sign or something else I dont know but it wouldnt be the first time that clubs have signings ready to go. Its interesting though, I wonder if it is transfers we tried to get in this season which were unsuccessful at the time ? Maybe because we were not guaranteed prem next year or their own teams needs for this season ? Lens and Astori perhaps ?
  14. What if Farage had your dog hostage, and was slowly plucking its hair out and tickling inside its nose with it ? He then sends a threaning note saying that he will at some point sneak its balls into what appears to be an unassuming steak and kidney pudding that will be served up to you unknowingly one evening ?
  15. Im really pretty gutted Im missing it Cant you move it to next week ?
  16. Highs of 16 ? They really did get away with the -10
  17. Its pretty obvious for me he wont go for less than we paid for him, and IMO it doesnt make sense to rid ourselves of a player who has clear potential and TBH has only had one season in a new league. Get some technical players around him and the boy will shine. New striker for me
  18. Wasnt Gervinho playing down the left ?
  19. Yes its a shame that those lot our keeping out what should be our first choice, genuine world beating talent...... Who are they again ?
  20. They only went there because City had started building towards success, and to be sustainable you need to dig into a decent pool of supporters, City and chelsea have always been pretty well supported and their name is of bigger barings in the wider footballing audience. Getting to that level takes time and money, perhaps with more money less time and visa versa, its also luck based and infrastructure.
  21. Whats the project Connor ? No idea how I didnt put your twitter handle and SWF name together TBH
  22. Exactly, which is what I am saying, you dont get anywhere really by changing a few things here and there etc you get there by completely revolutionising what you do both in the way it is done AND thought. Its obviously something that Reed and Cortese are looking into at our level and I just hope it is something the FA and other clubs do for the good of English football. It wont be a quick thing though.
  23. Well, IMO the continental teams right now are bringing through superior talent to that on offer on our shores. Both in quantity and quality. We got away (wasted) a pretty golden generation IMO. And until the game changes its attitude from the bottom up I dont think we will ever truelly challenge for a WC or Euro cup. And that goes to tournement preperation which IMO means a cull of any player who will be too old for the upcoming WC even when preparing for the euros.
  24. Its been said time and time again in the media, twitter club soundbites and we even went on holiday there. Southampton Emulate the Barcelona plan, youth integration, vision, preperation and sports science. Question is, should we be looking at our German friends ? The way Bayern and Dortmund have come into this seasons CL is incredible. Young players, power, strength, tactics, teamwork. Funny how times change, that said, its not like it hasnt been coming. A german revolution has been bubbling up since the WC two years ago. Personally I hope Reed has spread his horizons not just at Barcas door but everywhere else on the continent. France, belgium, italy, holland. Isnt it dissapointing that the majority of English youth products are so inferior to those over the water ?
