Being too old has never been a problem for England TBH, as we have never effectively embraced youth, this will be spelled out when Terry, Lampard etc are paraded around in Brazil, more to do with paychecks then actually being competetive.

We havent been concerning on the future with England at all, in fact you talk to anyone with a coaching background most will tell you of their disenchantment with an England that seem far happier on cashing in on their ageing cashcows then building a team for the future. I have said before, he is a little while away from it at the moment but he certainly has potential, reminds me of a youngish Drogba. Good technique, good in the air and both feet but needs a little sanding at the edges. Some of the goals he has scored shows he is clearly good enough. Its hard to judge him right now playing in a faltering team, devoid of experience and confidence but I have seen enough to know he will be a player.
