Well, Ive just watched MOTD, so whoever asked me what he did wrong today ? Well apart from their second, flapping at everything, his continual and basic error of PARRYING INTO THE BLOODY DANGER AREA Yeah, so he tried hard but he never managed to lose it for us today.
-
I think a lot of it wasnt necessarily dropping Lambert but playing to his strengths, we did today and look what happened ? The past few weeks saw us attempt to play with a very fluid front line, he isnt mobile enough for that IMO but get the ball to his feet or head, chuck it in the box and thats what happens. J Rod will be a decent player though I think
-
His positional sense is good, timing in the tackle and heading improving He is only 23/24 he'll be a decent player
-
Tbf I know nothing about fottball either
-
Davis is genuinely crap though, Guly has been getting stick for years even though he was decent at league 1 and prem and had a decent overall game today. Davis cost us points at the start of the season, and again now.
-
Ahh I think I missed a woosh there, well played sir... Well played
-
Why ? I like him, think he has real potential up top
-
Is he playing down the middle ? Always thought he could do it in the right position.
-
Not listening, as away but how is J Rod playing ?
-
Doing well, obviously getting crosses in today, or atleast getting the ball into the box early, as I said before too often we just fanny around with it and Lamberts game isnt about darting runs into the box. I was worried about the lineup as well today but it may well be tactical genius, Stole thinking they know how we play, and it all changes.

MLT getting a gig at St Marys is about as likely as ol Nicky boy getting an invite to an MLT charity golf day -

Friedel on loan, one of Davis/Dawson as CB and one of Downing/Buckley/Hughes Shoukd keep us up IMO -
The whole situation there is rediculous, how to ruin a football club, Pompey was bad enough but this is how I inagine Brent would chair a football club
-
Isnt he just a coach ? Not manager ? Still scary though ?!

How many of the famed Barca team are ACTUALLY academy graduates ? I.e actually trained there and not bought at 16-18 ?
-
Think Shaw would be pretty lost too far forward TBH, he isnt a Bale, more of a Bridge, solid first and attacks second if you know what I mean. I just hope we sign a decent wide man in Jan, and fill the hole left with a non gaston looking shape for now. Fox is decent enough for Emergencies only, but yes, come next year I think he will be gone.
-
We woukd need to be a big team for years, its sort of possible but highly improbable. We have a great academy but although now we will prob get good money for players, we still wont hold on to them forever. Also, in response to Lordswood, its probably a bit of both, hold on to the top prospects as long as possible, and get a good price for those we sell.
-
I echo what everyone else says really, we have two very good finishers in Ruckie and J Rod, for whatever reason J Rod isnt in favour through the middle and IMO Lambert probably isnt mobile enough but feed him the chances he will score. Thats our problem though, for all of our creative talent we fail to get any meaningful chances and are often restricted to shooting from range etc This is partly to do with Lamberts lack of movement but its been that way for years, but slso as we seem to want to fanny around with it too much. Lallana injury doesnt help and shoving Ramirez wide helps even less, Id like to see Ramirez stick through the middle and someone out wide who can balance the front four, guly will do for now. Mininum in Jan should be a CB, GK, wide man.
-
On the lallana front, if it was only a two week injury last week, then he would be training, well, he isnt yet.

Not what I heard at all, what I heard was that he knew he was not first choice in prem and his wife wanted to move back home, in fact he wasnt enthralled to come here in the first place because of location (not club) but he thought it was too good to turn down. He didnt settle well, his wife even worse and he got a loan move. Whats done is done, obv I have no idea how he is coping at Forest, but imagine that OD leaving probably doesnt do him any favours.

It was Adkins decision
