TBF Im all for giving it a bash next year but I would rather concentrate on the league this year
-
Why do students always want something for nothing ?
-
As poor as Fox was... And he really was tbf I thought Yoshi was closer to the ball for their goal and in sll honesty should have dealt with it, if I were him I would have cleared Fox, Gazza, the ball snd thrir striker regardless of calls or not. But.. It is the end of Fox IMO he just isnt up to it

League 1 goalkeeper. League 1 defenders. League 1 Puncheon.

Tbf we still went 1-0 down to some terrible defending, luckily I think we turned a corner today -
Watching the football first game on sky I must admit I thought that Villas goal was completely against the run of play. Lawrenson is completely clueless, I cringe whenever the tit is either commentating or punditing
-
Holy **** I just moticed this ?!!!! Great signing Where is MLG and his 'do they not know we cant sign anyone' crap ?
-
Ah ok FWIW just watched up to HT and IMO Lambert was indifferent, winning alot in the air but needlessly giving it away and for the goal, ok, maybe they thought Gaz had it coming but if I was Yoshida I would have volleyed it into touch regardless
-
Can someone sum up what they said please ? Watching game on football first atm

Not been listening but would imagine it has something to do with zonal marking, a system within which unless the players you are using are v v disciplined and v good in the air is so easily exploited.

This is Adrian, he really shouldnt have to explain himself to peasants. -
Kelvin has been poor, beaten too often at his near post, dodgy distribution and probably gives no confidence to the defence in front of him. Adkins has clearly seen Gazza in training so if he says he is happy why not ? Give the lad a chance No Davis isnt the only one to blame but I reckon he should have done better with atleast 7 of the 14 goals we have let in regardless of what went on before it got to the shot

If he says its fine to pay a team to beat a rival IMO he basically says its fine for a team to accept payment to lose. Wrong, maybe he didnt understand the cost of his words but, v wrong -

Puyol the other one mate...... -
Oh come on... A tart maybe, a ***t definately but IMO technically the best player ever. I still think he is better than Messi too. 151 goals in 151 games

Fair play to Hart for the post march interview though

Nuclear power station on the Solent ???
Smirking_Saint replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Lounge
Could mean many things really, I mean the network around that way is set up to incorperate a large scale generation plant and the area I would imagine would be easy to gain permissions to build a new carbon friendly plant if required. I would inagine you have all ruled out the possible location of a biomass plant that SCC where looking to locate somewhere, this situation would certainly solve a few issues there. Yes we have a grud but because of losses over long distances its a lot easier to locate a generator nearer to the load. There are plans for a large wind darm off of the isle of wight for this reason too. In fact, although not a something I directly deal with YET I think Ofgems plans for a smart grid is about steategic generator locations closer to load points instead of the extremities such as Scotland etc Basically I doubt it will be Nuclear, surprised its shutting down though, looks like Ill have more crap to deal with. -
Yes they could in the same way that Stoke asked for dispensation to change their 25 man squad and sign Owen. No idea what would happen if we tried it on with both Gordon and Upson though
-
Well yeah, its supposed to be a realistic football game and so yeah, it kind of doesnt make sense that a football manager woukd do the hiring and firing, even if it was a mix of both, some clubs imposing it and others asking if you want to hire one ? So anyway is there an editor or not ?

Hanson worried for Saints lose next to and game over!
Smirking_Saint replied to Saints Warrior's topic in The Saints
I am not writing ourselves off, not at all, there is a lot of football left but you cant blame people for being worried. I know what you are saying but I bet before the season started you looked at 3 or 4 teams and said the may go down, or have been watching teams and have decided they look like relegation contenders. So some people have looked at us and decided we look like fodder. Perhaps when you climb down off that horse of yours you will be able to look at our woeful defending and understand why more and more of us are getting worried. Of course it can change but Im going to want to see improvements sooner rather than later -

Smirking_Saint replied to Saints Warrior's topic in The Saints
Not really, lets judge us compared to the other 19 teams ffs We consistantly cant defend, and consistantly struggle to keep the ball. Positives are that we can score and press well. Do I think we can stay up ? Yes of course, but we have to defend better than past 4 games -
Ill give it to end of October
-
I said to the lads and before the game that we were going to get a drubbing, so 3 or 4 nil was sort of expected. For me it wasnt the result it was the way we played in the first half, defending we all know about (doesnt make it right) but even the midfield was clueless today. Better second half but surely Arsenal took the foot off the pedal. I feel vindicated by Kelvins poor performance again though. Fox I have given a chance but he is poor defensively. Ill write this off, but even as soneone usually positive I am worried, the next 2 games will define our season
