Because Norm we dont have the players on the bench to make an impact in the prem, we seriously lack pace going forward, rodriguez and sharp are really both out n out strikers, Rodriguez has a more to his game though. If the 433 set up doesnt work than we havent the players to do anything else. It was obv sat that Martinez had done his homework, he let Jos and Fonte keep the ball as long as they wanted but as soon as the ball went to the full backs they were closed down. Thus stopping us playing out from defence. Not too worried at the moment but the fact that we are primarily a passing side and have managed less than 40% of possession in last two games worries me.

Exactly this Which is what Adkins plays with a 433 during the attacking phase and 451 during the defensive. 442 is too outdated TBH My point was I wouldnt want Ramirez in the centre of a 5 man midfield as you would always play 1 DMF but the other 2 CMs would need to have a defensive discipline too, Lallana and Ramirez wouldnt give you enough discipline IMO We will play with Morgs, Davis and Lallana wherever poss this season

Agreed, but these guys earn more than they will ever need, the wages are simply stunning in many cases and bare in mind that their reported weekly wage is AFTER tax. For me yes, I would want to earn good money but equally would want to make my mark and be tge best I can be. I cant see how sitting on a bench somewhere would achieve this. Its different if your going to still be playing, for instance Kaka to real being questioned if his move was money oriented as it probably mainly was, but to earn money and not even playing ? This of course is aslong as he has not qualified for an EU passport which obv I have no idea if he has or has not, however spunking 20 mil on a young player tgats never going to ever play for you seems to only happen on Football Manager.

Another one... I noticed a player taking far too long on theball against city, that was young adam, some tomes his fault, other times it depends what the movement is like around him. Difference is I see his merits to the team, as I do with Guly, players are going to make mistakes, course they will, at the moment we have no one better.
