If Cortese is directly attempting to involve hinself in tactics and team decisions then of course this is bad news however this 'info' doesnt really say this in my eyes. Who is to say that as has been said Nigel twisted his words to Billy and Billy interpreted them slightly, or, perhaps dependant on the relationship between Lordshill and Billy, Billy thought he could embelish the truth slightly and in turn save a bit of face. All in all Im not going to get my knickers in a twist over something to which calidity cannot be proven TBH. With respect chapel I think the likes of spain, barca and many other midfield maestros that playing in midfield does not mean you need brute strength. Wilshere certainly doesnt have that. Tenacity and the right attitude yes but certainly mot brute strength

No not at all, abd to be honest if anyone believes you only look at a sungle player or do one single deal at a time in football than you are clueless DP would be a decent signing, and if a defensive option was available I feel we would look at it. Id be very surprised if we are not already looking at potential targets in Jan in case we decide they are required

The more I have been thinking about it the more I think this is a coaching issue, Fonte and Fox were poor defensively but surely with better defensive organisation it would have been far better. The way I saw it yesterday the zonal marking didnt work, we didnt really crumble in open play, we defended the box pretty well but failed at set pieces, I cant remember the goals against city but if memory serves at least the 3rd was indirectly from a corner. The zonal marking isnt working as we have coached it so far, but hope springs from the fact we restricted both united and city to longish shots and set pieces. Funnily enough I thought that aswell, the zonal marking crap certainly didnt help. If it wasnt for our ten minute capitulation I would probably say he did ok. They were restricted to scoring from set pieces. At first I thought he failed to pick up RVP for his 3rd but just like Rio he wandered into the box unchallenged from the edge. More a coaching issue than a poor individual performance.

Tbf to him, and I am more than happy to jump down his throat if i feel he is being rediculously negative borderline trolling, I have not seen too much today that isnt just opinion. If his posts merit it than fair enough, but dont just bash him for no reason. I can see the merit in his lack of defensive options theme he has got going on right now, not that I 100% agree with what he feels the gravity of the situation but nevertheless can see his point

And I dont expect they were all involving the two best sides in the league 2 seasons after League 1football

Spot on Just got in and the highlights were on sky again, rewound the 3rd goal a few times... Again and still for the life of me cannot understand how Guly managed to come out with the criticism for it ! Jesus christ As per his defensive header you are spot on Minty, if you have actually played the game surely you could see thats the best place he could put it unless you seriously believe he could somehow power the header out for a throw in ? He could have headed it for a corner I suppose, no doubt he would have been blamed for that too If you want to see a truelly terrible defensive header compare it to Foxs against city. My take is everyone was dissapointed and needed someone to blame and personally I think we need a decent defensive coach
