  1. Agreed, would he be a good signing ? On reduced wages I can see it, I dont know how fit he is atm. Not exactly what we need AFAIK but could help the youngsters
  2. SaintBobby makes some V good points And every team more or less tried to do business on the last day, I do agree with Alps as far as SAF is concerned in his T dealings but he is really the only manager who consistantly manages this and is V good at it to his credit. Personally I think the TW should end before the season starts.
  3. I would rather we signed the correct players instead ofa scattergun approach that could cost us financially AND on the pitch, lets face it you do t play against RVP every game. We all know we needed defensive options, wehave the CB weeanted, perhaps we need a LB too, who we went foron two occasions. Stop dramatising it, Yoshida has not playedyet and we have played probably the 1 & 2 teams this year and made them fight for it
  4. It has been said not just on here but noises coming out of St Marys and from news outlets that we were after defendive options as well as GR So no, I dont see the point as valid tbh
  5. He has had an agenda with Cortese from the v beginning, be quiet for ages, not surprised he has come out of the woodwork for a bit of bashing
  6. Completely disagree, we didnt need a goal threat at the end yesterday, we needed soneone to give the ball to, hold it up and take pressure off. J Rod is a goal snatcher too but has more dimensions to his game than Billy. Billy would have given us little in the closing 20 yesterday.
  7. I sort of agreed with punch and Lallana, they were knackered so can see the merits there, Guly has more defensive attributes to JP aswell. We needed Lambert to stay on IMO though, Mayuka would havebeen an effective outlet if we could have got the ball to stick up there. It wasnt the subs that lost itfor us though, it was more a complete implossion at the back and the fact that nobody had an answer to Scholes calm yet decisive passing
  8. Scholes shows the importance of experience in the middle, prowsey will improve, playing these two games has certainly done him no harm. Its great he is getting recognition, I justhope we can keep him. Must admit Ive not heard too many outside club compliments about him.
  9. My thoughts exactly Great little player, surprised the commentators barely talked about him at such a young age, if he was at a top 4 club they would be raving
  10. Dont remember where I blamed him for the loss yesterday, I merely said I worry he has gone backwards. Yes defence v poor but if yourworried about the man behind you it puts you off your game. I am willing to give him the benefitof the doubt and would never boo etc I just feel dependant on the aim this season KD couldbe a hinderance. Im happy for survival, v happy but in the essence of discussion I wanted to point out my concerns
  11. Im not a wrist slitter if anything im far from it. I like Kelvin, he has been a tremendous servant to the club and despite everyone telling me over the summer I have been defending him but this is the third game in the prem Ihave seen of him and honestly I think he has gonebackwards over the summer. The three goals he probably couldnt have done much about but another day his woeful passing and parrying back into danger would cost us. How you can blame fox for that frankly abysmal pass Ill never know, if my passing was that bad on a sunday id be straight off.
  12. Maybe, I just hope for his sake he improves as, for me Id be looking seriously for GK replacements.
  13. I dont remember him worrying me so much last year, but right now every time the ball goes near me he scares the life out of me. His distribution is terrible and could have easily cost us the game in its self today, especially when we are fragile defensively surely putting the back four under so much pressure because of some criminal passing to the full backs. Also his shot stopping, does he ever hold anything ? And far too many of his 'saves' end up in the worst position often bouncing into prime positions in the box. I dont like criticising players and have been defending him recently but thought he lOoked v poor today, am I the only one that thought he might have been able to do better with the first goal too ?
  14. He makes mistakes, and no he isnt free from criticism but ffs come on, blaming him for tgat goal ? Ok he may have been able to close down the cross but its such a small part considering the other players mistakes its unreal, and perhaps yes I am argueing about it because it is Guly and he gets a beating for the sake of it, face it, any other player that failed to close down the player we wouldnt be talking about it. Ive just watched it again, no matter what your saying about Guly if I was playing I would have done the same thing, J Rod made the move to the player, so you dont rush in, you stand off incase the player makes a move into the box. Another thing is Fox was stood right next to Guly so why puck Guly and not Fox ? Mental
  15. Apart from the fact I countered your Guly arguement of course ? And the fact that Rio had a free header, a FREE header in the box, and that RVP reacted far quicker than the two saints players near the post ? Both far more critical than the fact that Guly failed to close down a man that Rodriguez really should have dealt with ? So yes, ignoring the other points, which obviously you need to do in order to suit tge point your making than Guly is at fault. As I said, similar to Fratton where Ward again had a free header as Adam failed to pick him up, conveniently forgotten as Guly didnt jump high enough.
  16. Tbf if you look closely Guly was the reason that we conceded the first goal aswell, and the reason we got relegated from the prem 7 years ago, and I find him accountable for world war 2 There are some clueless 'fans' around. Lol at blaming him for the Fratton header too, lets all conveniently forget that Lallana failed to track Ward who's man it was, as he is the golden boy and Guly the whipping boy
  17. I see Lard is still a prize prat Still bringing out the tired old crap ? Adkins was forced into the changes, they were knackered. More concerned over my worry every time the ball goes near Fonte and Davis tbh
  18. Put the beer down, get in bed, hold your billy sharp duvet tight and pretend were back in league 1 if itll make you feel better
  19. Your all welcome btw
  20. You all going to applaud me for getting this deal over the line ?
  21. Oh FFS just go to sleep until May
  22. Maybe, as much as it hurts you cant really blame a player from chosing that red nosed old bastard over us. Shame though as he looks a player, expect him to play Sunday and probably score.
  23. Hmm lots of teams making lots of big signings on last day ? Who would have thought eh ? Most teams sort everything out WEEKS before end of window dont they ?..........
