I understand that we are a league 1 team yes, but they are just not good enough. Wotton is shocking, Gillet is obviously not liked by pards (although doing a job in CCC) and James is having a mixed bag. We still need atleast a CB, a RB and a new CM, could do with another striker as well. We have IMO a good enough team to atleast make the playoffs yes but i would not moan at better players, as long as they are 'better' than we have already, this could be the difference and should also give us a good start in the CCC when we get there.

Don't think SMS has ever really had a problem with frost so what is the point ?? Would be a waste of money IMO, i was hoping reading the thread title it may have been an expansion etc. Or even better beer !!!!!!

Really ?? There are players here that are just not good enough. The majority of 'better' players from last year, and yes i say better lightly have moved on, we needed drastic improvements, we got better players in. Now it would be nice to see a few more faces, the squad needs spicing up, there are players that just are not good enough.

Yeah, i agree with the overall premise of what is being said, the first 11 is pretty much a settled team sheet now for pardew, in my view it probably makes the team a little complacent and so a few new faces to spice it up a bit is vital. Can't remember who said it but the 'head nail on hit' with the comment of some decent CCC players and avarage league ones, those not cutting it need to be replaced. I fear for the future of spiderman and lallana if we don't look like making the playoffs and tbh i already fear for lallana's future now anyways. We need at least 5 players IMO, and a big name signing would be outstanding in showing ambition.

I'd also love us to steal Hoolahan from Norwich, but it will never happen. Is the Elliot Ward deal still in the offing ??? Chris Lines from Brizzle also rumoured.

Oh well, we are through, i really couldn't care less about the FA cup this year, we get no points for it, we will not get any where near Wembley. Concentrate on the league please Mr Pardew, and obviously a day out in the JPT final would be nice. Hopefully we will get a nice big team away, somewhere i haven't been. Arsenal away would be lovely.

No i don't, i am just going with what has been reported. I wouldn't put it much past a high figure however. I do fear them being bought on the cheap too, but make no mistake it is a much more difficult deal than ours.

+1 Although i can see the prem not taking action will eventually make things worse. The transfer embargo was a joke as well, i know it still stands now but what is the point of an embargo in the months you cannot sign anyone anyways ??

We owed ion the region of 30 mil, the skates owe 60-70 mil, plus the loans that the saudi's have taken out with the stadium as security, they will want that back, so that is at least another 30 mil. They also have no infrastructure to name of. The club is a mess and only a very rich idiot will buy them, especially as was said before West Ham on the table. Those involved in the running of pompey over the last few years need to be shot for their incompetance.
