  1. Looked to me like the corner the goal came from should have been a goal kick in the first place as well.
  2. Fair enough. I didn't know that and didn't want people to miss out.
  3. The OS says all tickets need to be collected by 4pm TODAY: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2724968,00.html

    Ex-Smokers

I smoked for 16 years, gave up 12 years ago after several failed attempts. We went to Vancouver a couple of months after they brought in their smoking ban, so I got some patches and had them on for two weeks, then carried it on after that for a while. As others have said, you've got to want to give up - think of it as a 3K pay rise a year if that helps!! All the best with it though. There will be some tough times, but I rarely think about it these days.
  5. Next season, the 657 is more likely to relate to the average home attendance, rather than a train time in the 70's.
  6. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/apr/04/bradford-bulls-raise-300000?newsfeed=true Wonder if they're anywhere near the totals raised by Bradford Bulls fans in the last two weeks - surely they must be, being the bestest and all that...
  7. Apologies to Salt & Pepa (and the Reading forum for the initial twist..) Let's Talk about Tax, Pompey Let's talk about VAT Lets talk about all the bills and staff you haven't paid lately..... Apologies to The Clash and the fine tune that is London Calling.... The tax man is coming, the ends zooming in, The clock is a-ticking, and cash is running thin, A squad bought on hp, but no one to blame? You cheating Skate b*stards, have you no shame Taxman calling, yeah, the're coming for you, And you know what they said, all of it is true, Taxman calling at the end of July, So after all this, won't you f*ck off and die.
  8. Wasn't our chant in response to their's of (something like) "top of the league, you're having a laugh" - which made his rate even stranger as they were "disrespectful" first (in true playground style!)
  9. I put this on the banner for P*mpey thread last week, but it would make a good chant: "Your sons will wear our shirts" The poster who thought it was "a bit sexist" on that thread can substitute "sons" with "kids".
  10. It's on iplayer now - 15minutes in: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01f8p42/The_Football_League_Show_2011_2012_24_03_2012/
  11. He covered us on Tuesday. so maybe a lucky charm. Hope he's finally learnt it's not "lay-lana" now though!
  12. I see Fat Sams gone with 4 strikers and no (loanee) keeper on the bench as well. Lets just hope we do our bit and keep the gap, then the pressure will build on every game.
  13. "We've come for our song, we've come for our song, you thieving , we've come for our song.......KNOCK, KNOCK......"
  14. I don't think so - by then Wham will have played 4 games, us 2. Assuming they lose all 4 (67 points) and we win both (then 78 points), that gives a gap of 11 points, with Wham having 18 left to win. Goals about to come up on SSN, btw.
  15. KUMB must be going into meltdown with our new found way of "cheating". Great summary by Paul Walsh on SSN - "pass by laylana...." Come on saints, another one please.
  16. West Ham score to level
  17. Leeds just score too!
  18. Watching a stream of Leeds/Wham and Leeds just had a goal chalked off. They are playing quite well. Just need us to get our heads straight at HT and resume normal service for the second half.
  19. "Your sons will wear our shirts"
  20. I said this earlier, but the 4 games before that list were on Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday/Tuesday. The next 3 follow that pattern, then they have a weeks rest before West Ham, then they play Friday/Tuesday/Friday/Tuesday. They will run out of steam.
  21. If you look at their fixtures they have a run of games like that, then three Saturday games in a row, then another spell of Sat/Tues games. That will be quite an ask, and if they go up after that, considering who they have to play, then fair play.
  22. 44. Born in Croydon, family moved to Holbury when I was 18 months old, Hardley educated (I know..) 79-84. Now joining the growing contingent of Surrey Saints by living in Dorking near Gatwick due to job moves. I did a few of the Internet Saints games many years ago, so know a few names on here through that (dragged a pen wide in an early Leeds tourno against Charlton whilst being jeered by the Pompey boys - WHFILN?) The first Saints game I remember going to was the 79 League cup 2nd leg against Leeds. My Dads mate ran the line that night and we were waiting in the car park for him to give us the tickets and I remember him being really late and running out in his lino kit with the tickets in hand about 5 minutes from kick off. Met him many years later at a family do and during conversation, it turned out that he'd married into the Bailey family and his nephew was Gary Bailey (ManUre GK), and he'd run the line for them several times when Gary had played but no one had ever clocked the family connection! The first away game I can remember going to was Everton at Highbury in the cup semi in 84. Enough said about that one, especially the river of p!ss at the back of the terrace in extra time..... Finally, my 6YO nipper (first game, Charlton at home the season we went into admin in case we never came out of it....) plays for the local school side, the Dorking Saints, in his Saints shirt. Mostly, the other lads are in Chelsea blue, but there is one kid who turns up in a different shade of blue shirt each week. I take great pleasure in encouraging them both whilst stood next to his dad with "come on you Saints!". It's not big and it's not clever, especially as I am the coach......... :^)
  23. ...whilst using all his man management skills to further motivate his existing ones. Oh.
  24. How many of the players down the road considered this course of action I wonder - voluntary redundancy, no pay offs: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17221172
