Offside (says VAR anyway!)
-
The logic now with these VAR reviews of tackles seems to be “well that looks bad on the slow mo replay so he has to go”, no account taken of the overall situation in real life speed. That one shouldn’t be a red, he clearly had full intent to play the ball and did so, just caught the player in the follow through. Poor use of VAR yet again.

It's going to be interesting to see which way Ralph goes with this. Personally I think he will want to maintain the momentum of the last couple of games and give the likes of Ings & Theo another game to get them fully up to speed before the semi final. So I think it's unlikely he will make changes unless there are particular worries over fitness or knocks.

👍

Leicester/Man U would be least worst draw for us in my opinion.
-
Well played Nathan Redmond, pleased for him. Clearly he has had a poor season, but he has always been a confidence player and this performance and 2 good goals and a fine assist should do him the power of good for the rest of the season if he can stay fit.
-
Can't complain at that side. Should be good enough to win if they perform. COYR!
-
Yep. Also, our squad is criminally light in some positions currently and the club needs to address that, not just Ralph. Getting shot of Ralph won't change the fact we only have 2 premier league quality centre midfielders at the club, which is crazy and was bound to catch up with us at some point this season.

My advice is you should give up following football. If you think the chance of winning a cup is meaningless, what's the point?
-
Baffling stuff from us. Surely we have to be more direct at this point?
-
Lack of urgency from us is concerning. Poor second half.
-
Get in!
-
Well deserved based on the first half. Fulham looking a decent side now.
-
Interesting. Great opportunity for him to make an impact. Good luck to him.
-
Great news 😊

Most premier league clubs would not leave themselves with no specialist full back cover (regardless of injuries) though would they? I get that Valery ain't great but he is a specialist full back and he has played a significant number of PL games. Sorry but I think you can count the number of PL clubs who would have loaned him out with no replacement in the midst of an injury crisis on one finger.

West Brom result good for us. But tells us a lot about the direction our season has taken that we are now much more interested in West Brom v Brighton than City v West Ham or Leeds v Villa. Sigh...
-
Agreed. Has that been Djenepo clattering into Kante in that way, I think we all know what the result would have been following a VAR review.
-
Was the assist for our goal "woeful woeful woeful" then? Sorry if it makes me happy clappy as well in your eyes but I can recognise that Redmond has been an important player for the club before (former player of the season) and that he was certainly one of our better players today against a good side. He's always been a confidence player and has been out of form, but you can see signs in the last couple of games of his confidence returning (if you are prepared to set aside vendettas and actually watch the game). Ralph clearly thinks so as he's restored him to the first 11. It's a shame that some are too blinkered in their views of Redmond to admit when he has contributed. You might say their contribution to this thread is "odd odd odd".

Just seen that incident near the end when Sheff U should have had a penalty but ref gave a foul on the keeper. What the fuck is the point in VAR if they can't get that right and reverse it? Clear as day penalty.
-
Vest and Adams in?
-
Got to be happy with that!
-
If only Ings chance had gone in. ☹️
-
Right, Jannik up top and play more direct now. Short passing tricky on this surface even versus 9.
-
Really tricky to pass it but we are getting chances.
