Whatever they serve in the clubhouse at South Winchester Golf Club, unless he's one of those fellas who goes from the 18th green into his car and home.
-
3 shots on target against us so far this season and conceded 3 goals. Don't need to look much further than that.
-
Tino was always happy to stay if the club chose not to sell, as is Tella - although they were best buddies so it'll be interesting to see if that changes. But no player is ever going to say after a transfer is completed that they didn't want to go. Not what the fans of the new club want to hear. It'll be 'as soon as I heard of X-Clubs interest I couldn't wait to pull on the shirt for the greatest fans of this world famous club blahdy blah.....

It's done. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/saints-complete-lumley-signing

Interesting one. A replacement for Willy and probably AM too? Could graduate into a goalkeeping coach role and could certainly help GB from the off. Does he still have it though. He's already 36. His leaving Leicester definitely coincided with their demise.
-
If what he's worth to them is less than what he's worth to us, then he doesn't get sold. Simple as that. IF we don't need the money then market value (whatever that is) doesn't really come into it.
-
Good piece in The Times by Allyson Rudd saying that West Ham ought to cough up the £40m for JWP and he's worth every penny of it.
-
Listening to Soccer Saturday the pundits view, particularly Michael Dawson, but generally agreed by all, was that if we kept our squad together (ex Lavia and Tino) that nobody in the Championship would touch us and we'd be nailed on for promotion. Also, suggested that although the board planned to sell another 4 or 5 , perhaps they might wake up this morning and think perhaps it's worth keeping them together for a year if they can.

If we're considering players that have had a bad couple of years, but have a history of doing it at this level then how Che Adams or Adam Armstrong. I hear they've been there and done it...
-
You'd also struggle to get the good kids to sign for us if they could see the previous successful ones not being allowed to leave when the next level beckons.
-
Probably about 24m to us and 16m to Chelsea give or take if its an accelerated sliding scale.
-
I think they've missed a 1 or a 2 off the fee. 18 would be disappointing, 28 more likely.

I agree with this. If JWP is willing to stay without downing tools then keep him, and he's way to professional to behave like that. Also, West Ham need to bear in mind that he'll likely still be playing in 5-6 years time as he takes looking after himself very seriously, which is probably a big factor in why he rarely gets injured. His dead ball skills aren't going to be worse when he's 35 either. Funny how they held out forever for top dollar for Rice, but think we should cut our Valuation for JWP. I'm surprised he's so happy to go there when they don't value him that highly.

So... Jack Stephens played regularly in a Premier League team that didn't come close to being relegated last year and yet some think he's not good enough to play for a Championship team this year despite being experienced, tenacious, vocal and loyal to SFC for many years having joined from Plymouth as a youth. I know there's better out there but he ticks a lot of the right boxes. He's what we need other than he's called Jack Stephens.

Next time I want to buy a new car I'm going to tell them their price is excessive and see if they'll give me a 20% discount. Maybe I'll pay them another 10% later if it meets their milage claims. Come to think of it, dealing with Liverpool, West Ham and Burnley is a lot like dealing with Used Car Salesmen :0)

I can understand why you think it's a lazy stereotype because on the pitch there is no evidence of it. He finds the game easy and is always up for the challenge. Behind the scenes some at the club would like to see him take the 'secondary' elements of everyday work a little more seriously, and that does also apply to a few of the other younger players too, most of which don't have RL's very high abilities. Just what I'm told. Take it to leave it. :0)

I hope the club ignore all this media claptrap re Lavia's valuation and stick to their guns. Meet the valuation or F off (in fact that goes for all the clubs assets). Lavia has the potential to be the complete midfielder IF he gets over the 'I've made it already attitude' that many of our kids seem to have. I seriously see him in the middle of Real Madrid's midfielder in 5 years IF he knuckles down - he has the rare ability of looking like he has time on the ball even with the opposition crawling all over him.

Hamstring, which wasn't as bad as first thought and he should be back soon. Unfortunately he hasn't had much of a pre-season now.

From what I know most of what is surmised on here is correct re who is likely to go and who isn't, so I only chip in when something is being suggested that is off piste. I keep being told that Kamaldeen Sulamana isn't going anywhere (but that's always followed by 'unless.....etc etc' - LOL) All my info is only happy/unhappy, fit/unfit or training with the first team or training alone / exiled to the U21s. I don't know anything re incoming transfers, finance or politics. I have to sieve through the BS along with everyone else for that. Will always say if I hear of something new though.

My understanding is that Perraud isn't seeking to leave. He's a loyal guy who thinks he was part of the team that got us into this mess and want's to help get us out of it. Not heard anything on an injury though so not sure why he hasn't played. Shruggy emoji

KWP is suffering from bruised street cred since the club released a kit matching his new hair colour 😉

McCarthy is injured

Last post from me today (because I've run out - really must pay the bloody fiver) One other thing I was told is that AA is super happy at the moment and is buzzing about the club. He felt played out of position / not to his strengths under RH, but is really buying into RMs way of playing / doing things. He's really up for it for it this season. I guess there might be a bit of seen it, done it in his growing confidence and contentedness... but that's me speculating. I hope he plays for us this year the way he did for Blackburn.

Salisu could be a very (very) good player. Problem is, he thinks he is already without any effort, where-as he's actually a couple of years away from it and that's with some bloody hard work between now and then.
-
Tella isn't unhappy, and is very willing to stay. MS drives some at the club nuts. Think's he's brighter than he is, won't be told anything and is lazy by nature. I don't know if the management are desperate to get rid but some of the day to day staff certainly are.
