Royston Drenthe is out of contract with Real and won't be signing for Everton as he fell out with Moyes. No idea what wages he'd ask for, but he's the sort of pacy, goal scoring winger who CDAJFU. Unlikely I know, particularly as he's said he wants to head back to Holland, but just another name to throw in the hat.

I may be making this up, but didn't Adkins say at some point that we would always have a youth player on the bench next season? Even if he didn't, I still don't reckon it's as ridiculous as you say. Part of NCs plan for the club is to have youth players making the grade in the first team, and that has to start somewhere.

What's the point of writing that? DC was a good signing in the end, his first goal at Oldham and the one against Leeds this season really stick out for me. Quality finishing. He had that extra awareness and a great touch that comes from experience of being a top player for so many years. I hope another team takes a chance on him, he can still do a job somewhere.

Twitter rumour that we're going for Kightly from Wolves and will try again for Hooper. The more I think about it, the more I go off the idea of Hooper. I would rather go for a striker with pace, although his finishing is undeniable. Kightly would be decent, but would rather have Jarvis.

David Dunn would be a good signing. I think his premier league experience would be crucial in the dressing room. Granted, I haven't sen much of him this season though.
