Why promotion is still within our grasp!
kpturner replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
I think just avoiding defeat against Cardiff will be a good result. -
And FM2012 obviously

The point is well made I think. Transfers are seemingly easier to do in the close season. It is a gamble having to rely on the January window to get a squad decent enough to complete the job. Somebody said this week (forget who) that finding a good player to sign in January is a bit like trying to find a unicorn. Having said that, I think you have to say that our great start might be down to *not* doing a massive amount of business over the close season.

I'll say it again. We will not finish in the top 2!

Is it ok as a supporter to wear least season's kit this season?
kpturner replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Don't buy and wear football kits, then you don't have to worry (and you can avoid looking like a chav ) -
Yeah - you missed my edit I think.

It is not a rumour that Fonte is injured, so where did you hear "rumour" about Lallana? EDIT: Oh, THEVMAN As it happens, I think we won a game or two before we signed Lambert and Fonte and while Lallana was still in the ressies. Under Pearson maybe?

Most random player name you've had on the back of your shirt?
kpturner replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
Wearing football shirts - especially ones with names on the back, is strictly for chavs HTH -
From my Spurs supporting mate: Very very fast, tricky player with great skill, but a bit of a headless chicken due to lack of experience. Could do a good duet with De Ridder

I see Pompey feature highly.....not!

Only Burnley and Forest count (which I witnessed). I was not at Bristol Rovers, but I am reliably informed that the shot was deflected by a gnat on the way in and therefore does not qualify as a Morgan goal.

Saints always play with a ball with a little bell in it. Didn't you know that? Tsk!
-
Did anyone else notice that against Forest, when Lambert was not on the pitch, Davis went long most of the time rather than play it out to the CMs or FBs? Seems a bit @rse about face to me. After Guly went off our front-line was one of the smallest you will see anywhere, and he still went long. Still, we won 3-0 so who cares.

Ask your wife or girlfriend to name saints players.....

Which game FFS? You must have been holidaying in LA for well over a year for her to even find a name remotely resembling Papa Mango -

A barrel of muscle with a David Hirst @rse

This thread does appeal to my pedantic nature When he broke from defense against Forest this weekend (latched onto a headed clearance) and sprinted up the pitch he was running straight at me. He was looking up most of the time, and picked out Holmes for the curling shot. But before each touch he defo glanced at the ball. I think the highlights on the BBC also show this quite clearly.
-
I think most professionals keep their head up, and only glance at the ball just prior to each touch. I am not sure Lallana is any exception in that regard, although he clearly has skills that many others lack.

My f***king @rse hurts again!

Is it just me? I have no clue what the OP means at all. There have been some replies though, so it must just me me

Not sure about that one. Clearly a very good player that was given no chance whatsoever by the majority of Saints fans. Our loss - Stoke's gain.
