I bet this thread receives more replies than yours.

Why not tax fat people on their body mass?
-
I suppose they could travel outside the olympic village and buy some.

How do they feel about what alpine is going on about? what is alpine going on about?

I have noticed that this week in the Lounge we have threads about chips, crisps and food labelling, and we regularly have threads on cheese, chinese food, indian food, sunday lunches and making stews etc. Clearly food (more precisely eating food) is Saints fans second most favourite past time. Therefore can we please have a Food Forum where all these things can be discussed. Cheers.

Anyone would think Saints fans have food on the brain. This is the 3rd food thread this week.

Plenty of Brand New Adidas Original Trainers.

I like the red trainers, got a pair myself although hardly worn them as i feel a bit of poser in them. I like your negative feedback comments BTW. -
You are right to an insignificant degree, and I am right to a significant degree. That is where we are at. So don't try and kid yourself that you know what you are on about. The spot price of gold sky rocketed after the banking crisis. Would you like me to provide you with some graphs?

I find the suggested portion sizes perfectly adequate.

Plus there's the Scouse factor. Funerals are the perfect occasion for them to enjoy themselves doing what they do best - wallowing in misery and self pity.
-
I'm not sure English is his native tongue so one should give him some leeway.
-
You clearly don't know what you're talking about if you don't realise that the spot price is at it's current level due to the global downturn and investors fleeing to the safe haven of bullion, but feel free to post up a few more quotes in your attempt to cover your ignorance. Are you really as thick as you make out?

I concur with those who said Doncaster away. A truely awful game, at an awful away ground and our fans were terrible.

I'm gonna get Franks Cousin to write my Eulogy. Pay back time on all the relatives.

Got a few bits I don't want that i'm gonna try and flog today. I've weighed it all and I know the scrap value (250 quid) so won't get fleeced. That said I have a cigarette case that is worth more than its intrinsic value (it's not scrap - and can be sold on as a card case) so will take that to a dealer who is fair that i know and hopefully get a better price.

It all depends on whether you want a fast entry or a fast exit. I always reverse when parallel parking though, which so many women drivers struggle to do resulting in the comical scenes seen every day on high streets up and down the country.
-
Spaces in a new car park in the Black Forest town of Triberg now come with male and female symbols. The spaces for women are wider and well lit, while those for men are close to concrete pillars and can only be reversed into. Explaining the policy, Mayor Gallus Strobel said it was a natural decision because men are better at parking than women. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/9393451/Easy-parking-spots-for-women-introduced-by-German-mayor.html

I would like to see who actually owns UK Gilts by country. We don't publish this data, but they do in the US. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=major+holders+of+us+debt&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CFsQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.treasury.gov%2Ftic%2Fmfh.txt&ei=wl7-T-3-Duea1AXhkYCLBw&usg=AFQjCNG_f5amxEY5zyU_VdN3XG6a5N_CcQ And on the bright side this graph clearly shows how the US recovered after WW2. So despite all the the doom and gloom there is historical precedent for a strong recovery in our fortunes. We just need the Eurozone to collapse - a controlled demolition is what is required, but the idiots on the continent don't have the brains to do this and it'll all come down with a crash.

For me it's got to be Colchester United. Souless subuteo ground in the middle of a swamp, and our fans were embarrassingly uninterested. Most seemed to arrive on coaches and just sat there in silence looking miserable.

I would suggest that the driving factor in Americas success is the people, primarily of Northern European British ancestry running the show. In fact everywhere we went we made a success.
-
Because it's logical that the situation that John Reid predicts would happen. Just look at America with Republican senators restricting Obama. Our current system works fine.
-
On the contrary, cynicism would increase as we witness competing houses battling each other and people would wish it was back how it was before.
-
The fact nobody cares about this (aside from a few Lib Dems) says it all. The current set up is not an issue. It works. Leave it.

I believe in having a government that governs and a house of Lords that goes over legislation with a fine tooth comb and then points out flaws etc, but the commons ultimately has the final say. That is what we've got and it works. If we change the system and have elected Senators what we'll end up with is competing houses and much like in America battles between them. As John Reid says: "Anyone who believes they can introduce a new chamber of elected senators with a term three times as long as MPs', and constituencies much larger than MPs', without that becoming the superior house is deluding themselves." Imagine the situation of a Tory majority in the commons and a Labour majority in the Lords or vice versa.
