  1. In that case you should know that there are lots of interesting things to see for such a small place, especially if you appreciate history.
  2. There's lot's of interesting things to see. Visit the museum, a little gem and full of rare Nelson memorabilia.
  3. They seem to be making more of an effort than when two eastern europeans snatched my old dears purse. The Officer who she spoke too commented that she should perhaps not wear so much "bling" (which I made a complaint about - FFS if a 76 year old can't wear a few rings (not ott), earimgs and a necklace in a small market town what is the world coming to? - and he had no right to say this - it's like saying to a girl who got raped "maybe you shouldn't wear such a short skirt) and he also said they would have left the town by now probably on a train to Leicester. So why didn't they use the description and get British transport police to watch the people getting off the train - there's only 1 an hour FFS. Absolutely useless.
  4. Might be worth you ringing the club up to. I rang the booking line and got the number for the proper ticket office. Ask to speak with a supervisor and let him know that you too think it's a huge inconvenience and a big expense.
  5. I was told that any remaining after the first balot will then be made available to non st holders.
  6. There never has been stability you fool.
  7. The big hope for Libya is the small population relative to their oil wealth. They could easily rival rich gulf emirates.
  8. I rang up the ticket office and ST holders will discover on or before 1st December whether they have been sucessful. Therefore the next phase of sales will commence after the 1st. That leaves 18 days for a second general balot, and I think it's reasonable to guestimate that the subsequent window for collection will be about 10 days prior to the game. Even without a balot for non ST holders it's leave 18 days and people outside of the area would still have the problem of having to travel down to pick up their coach pass in a short window just before Christmas. It'd cost me 60 quid to drive down and back and that is crazy when it could be posted out. Note how the club are talking a booking fee for this game, so 3 quid and they're not even paying for any postage. I'd even be willing to pay more on top of the swindling booking fee for special delivery/recorded delivery to save on diesel.
  9. A question for climate change nutjobs; would you sooner have global cooling?
  10. Personally I'm glad he was shot in a crossfire (ha ha - bet British diplomats have been advising the NTC on that one!) or executed, because it saves all the hassle of a trial and it puts the matter to bed and rebuilding can commence.
  11. This is why i'm ideologically against international aid. When growing carrots you thin out the plants so those remaining can grow stronger. Giving medicines and vacines to people in Africa is ridiculous as what is the point of increasing the life expectancy of people in areas where they cannot feed population growth? We are effectively messing with nature and throwing the balance out of kilter. That said Rhodesia was a model African state wth comercial farms and therefore the African problem is solveable in the right hands.
  12. Blame Labour for the mess they left this time around and for giving away our Empire before that. We don't have the finances or the requirements we once had.
  13. Apartheid was never adopted in Rhodesia. Please refrain from further contribution until you have educated yourself on the subject.
  14. Sales approaching the 21000 mark. Capacity 24,161. Woooooo. http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10306~2489204,00.html
  15. Johnny and VFTT with matching ringtones.
  16. Bump. Someone must have watched it. I was washing my hair.
  17. Getting back to the 10 day window (8th December - 18th December) for non season ticket holders to hand collect their travel passes, can anyone explain this decision? For fans that don't live in the area it's going to a real inconvenience and a huge expense.
  18. The fact i was agreeing with you may have been a factor here.
  19. Oi. I gave you a toppa in the tree huggers thread. Some gratitude would be in order.
  20. Rhodesia if it was down to me. Now that would be a popular war. Imagine the scenes of smiling faces bringing tea and homemade scones and jam to our boys liberating their farms. Much like in the case of the Falklands this would be a conflict where we are fighting for our own. Fighting for the sons and grandsons who fought for Great Britain with pride during two world wars.
  21. Was it dark at the time? Had you put your glasses on?
  22. UKIP = The way forward. FACT.
