The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)
dune replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
And every forum have those who resort to insults when they have no counter argument. As it goes I can understand why some people vote Liberal because they beleieve in civil liberties, but to vote Labour is to vote to be a slave to the Socialist system. A top heavy system layerered in buerocracy that is all about taking away civil liberties (spending power is a civil liberty so the Socialists love of high taxes fits perfectly) and dictating from above every aspect of how everyone should live their lives. That is what the Socialist/Communist parties are all about. -
Maggie by a country mile.

Taxation is a means by which to control so is naturally key to Socialist ideologies. The Socialists/Marxists love of cctv and speed cameras is another example of how these people want to control every aspect of everyone elses lives. Conservatism/Capitalism on the other hand is about freedom and allowing people to do their own thing. I think the Marxists on here are naive to the ideologies of the political system they represent. -
Because if you've got a fat arse you won't be able to sit as far back in a seat resulting in your knees sticking out further.

Which is precisely my reaction to the public sector job cuts. The debt mountain and the deficit are unfortunate, but have presented the Tories with a once in a generation opportunity to really hammer the Socialist system. Only so much can be done in 5 years, but if we can get a majority Conservative govt next time I think the public sector can be pacified once and for all. -
I've never noticed a problem. Perhaps you mean anyone over 6 foot and obese struggles to sit comfortably.

The worst place I've had the mispleasure of visiting to sit and watch football, absolutely no leg room between seats to the side or front so an uncomfortable 90minutes coming up with this one - Hardly a great draw either, would've fancied us at home but the chances of progression must be slim. http://blueandamber.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=69489 WTF?

It's a good tie for Shrewburys fans. A trip to St Marys is always an experience for fans who don't usually visit top stadiums.
-
Away at Corby Town would be good. A trip to Scotland without the travelling and not far for me.
-
Also what time is the draw?
-
No doubt someone would ruin the day with some anti police chanting.

Copied from the UI.

Thankyou. I have no further questions.

There's far more subtle and gratifying ways to tell people to **** off (notice i didn't break the rules and attempt to by-pass the swear filter ) than by telling them to **** off. As it goes I did occassionally find the little spats entertaining - SOG V Alpine, Stu v NickG etc, but didn't follow them religiously. If I found their rants boring I just ignored them, but imho they did add something occasionally for entertainment value. I just fear that without these little cameo performances this place will become pretty boring. Time will tell. As to the point I was making it was simple. Most people weren't complaining and if there was a poll that asked something like "do you think the old mods did a good job?" (which is the crux of the whole debate) I think most people would've voted that they were happy with them and how they went about things.
-
But is fair for me to say that the "majority of people that have complained" are in fact the minority?
-
If i was a Man Utd fan (that went to games - rare i know) i'd stop going because what Rooney has done is play a part in a charade to lever a £100K pay rise out of the club. And he has the audacity to say SORRY. He's not sorry at all - he's got exactly what he wanted. An Man Utd fans will be paying more for tickets to pay for it.
-
Do you think that will increase the number of people posting?
-
What exactly is wrong with that thread? The mainboard has really become dull of late and is really slow compared to how it was. If you're not careful all the humour will be gone soon.
-
If we lose I think the players should be subjected to a speech from Richard Chorley.
-
Leave him be. It's part of the entertainment and more importantly it's good to have a few players on the pitch that show passion. That said the cat may be out of the bag now and opposition managers will encourage their players to "rough him up" to try to draw a reaction and a sending off. From NA's perspective it's about warning him of this without sterilising the advantage a player like him brings to the team.

She's on in a few minutes and apparently it's a first for the show and she'll be harnessed to wires and will be flying accross the dance floor. Should be entertaining.

I was reading an article in todays Daily Mail (now that i've got a few shares i've switched from the Express) which correctly questions the BBC's impartiality. Directly after the spending review they have a question time in Middlesbrough, next time it's in Glasgow, and then in Sheffield. The Marxists within the BBC are clearly doing this deliberately so that the Conservatives get a rough ride. -
And you bestest mate Turkish. Shame because his threads were always entertaining.
