I'm up for something different but that sash shirt looks rubbish.

Like any club in the land would care what Franchise FC's spaggy fans think. http://www.mkdonsforum.org/bucksfizz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=349:fizz-photos-from-southampton&catid=48:fizz-photos&Itemid=133 -
Because i figured Leeds will sell out and i should be able to sell the ticket on easier. I won't get face value, but anything will be better than nothing.

You can't pick any game. I couldn't make any home game until Oldham, but Leeds was the last game they'd twin with. So i got a Leeds ticket. If anyone wants it for £15 they can have it.

What a nice gesture from Mr Cortese. It's these little things that make all the difference. When Lowe was at Saints those taking the supporters bus to Pompey were charged to park at St Marys. It was only a quid but it was the principle and it said it all about how the club valued its supporters.

F**ky F**cky 1 dollar me give you much love Avram.

You and gobby (bungle) do talk some ****. Lots of Elderly people feel more secure with people they can associate with. A white English cabbie will probably have grown up in Southampton and will have far more in common with the passenger than a foreign driver. The trouble with you and Gobby is that you are not interested in anyone elses views. If only we were all perfect like you two.

I rang the 01271 335708 number and after a couple of attempts got straight through. The woman asked where i'd got the number from! Half way up in block 3 - i can't wait. Got a nice big stash of monopoly money ordered off ebay to taunt the fish fiddlers with.

Murray is a nobhead. Just boycott the Echo.

Hands up who said they were a season ticket holder to add more weight to their opinion?

Have I got it right in thinking that we will still have a "sponsor" emblazened across the shirt, but that the "sponsor" could possibly be the "sponsored"? If this is correct I nominate the Royal British Legion because they are the only charity i give money to. Please don't let it be some anal leftie charity like Greenpeace or Friends of the Earth.

Delapidated ex prossies that were so rough that even the Derby Road curbcrawlers stopped picking them up.
-
I'm not suggesting we won't sell out, merely that it'll take time. I base this purely on past precedents. Lots of older fans won't go, and many families won't go.
-
I'm not being funny but anyone who queues up is a bit of a spazza. What's the point when all you have to do is ring a freephone number, pay with a debit card, and get the tickets delivered free of charge. In any case they won't sell out quickly. They never have done for local derbies. Even when we played the Skates at the Dell during Merringtons tenure tickets went to general sale. I'm not even going to bother til they go on sale unlinked. If I get a ticket I get one, if i don't I don't, but the chances are i'll get a ticket.

A few days ago 19C made severall attempts at trolling and everyone ignored him. More of the same please because attention is his oxygen.

Just before Christmas our performances dipped. The introduction of Papa Waigo seemed to transform us on Saturday and normal service was resumed. AP will have noted the transformation and i'm sure he'll encourage us to play like we did in the last 30 minutes for 90 minutes next time. Let's hope that we've had our dodgy spell and are now firing on all cylinders for the run in. Up The Saints.

I've designed this banner and it'd cost £16. 6 foot x 1 foot. Do you think it'd be worthing purchasing it? If you want to design your own visit this site: http://www.printabanner.co.uk/index.html A 12 foot x 3 1/2 foot banner is £70 and would look great but it's £70. I'm open to suggestions for wording etc. Also if anyone can post pics of either the broken pompey club badge and/or the one with the upside down unhappy cresent moon of Islam crest i'd appreciate that because you can add pictures.

Supporters Group Meeting at St Marys Today. Important News About the Future.
dune replied to Son of Bob's topic in The Saints
I've long said that for Saints and St Marys to become a national venue we need to develop the surrounding area. I'm not sure whether Mr Cortese is up for a gamble, but the location of St Marys is prime for development and buying up the land adjacent to the Itchen stand and developing the water front would add so much to the club. SFC is a leisure business and what it needs is complimentary leisure facilities - bowling alley, cinema, a s****y weatherspoons, a marina where river/solent boat trips are launched, an iconic building (like the spinaker tower) etc etc. With these facilities there would be demand for a train station which in turn would encourage more development. I have a vision for the area and it'd cost serious money, but the potential gains could make Saints, St Marys and Southampton a magnet for inward investment. There's a well established cruise ship industry in the town and frankly nothing for the passengers to do whilst at Southampton - the city is frankly missing it's opportunities. -
Thanks Ottery, i just found this on youtube. Great footage of bygone days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eek6tgQHJ_8

Are you on about the Cowherds, or the Speedway hotel - as my old man called it. Going off on a tangent can anyone confirm whether the Cowherds was indeed called the Speedway Hotel and where was the Southamptons speedway track? I know my old man was a big speedway fan in his day but never really talked to him about it.
