Non! Moulin Rouge is up near Montmartre. Latin Quarter is down in the 5th and 6th arr. For hotels, near the river in the 5th/6th are good places to stay if you're looking for a perfect central location and don't mind a touristy trap area (St Germain square) and some noise...great atmosphere though. For central but quieter, the Marais on the other side of the river is perfect but anywhere in the 5th or 6th further south is fine too. Cheaper hotels will be offered in the outer laying areas of the city but you will need to rely more on public transport to get around. What to do? Anything you want, there's something for everyone.

Saints vs. Salford Reds and Posh in NY
LVSaint replied to NY Saint's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I expect the ManUtd tie will be televised through FSC or FSC+ but I wouldn't hold your breath for the Posh game as they do not hold the rights to L1 games...unless you know something different. Good luck on your planned trip mate, I am typing this in Surrey and looking forward to my 4th real league game in a row before reluctantly heading back on Monday. -
He is being a sarky knob isn't he. 4-0 Get the **** in! Lovely!

I forgive Holloway because he is a bit mad isn't he and prone to say just about anything Brighton's obsession with us is a little disturbing and weird though. Still it's nice to be noticed for a change.

Do Pet Shop Boys in an episode of Neighbours count?

I was outside in the pen at the back of the stand finishing off my pint when the huge roar erupted. Knew it was us, we were the only ones making any noise for 90 mins.

Just got back. Great day out and performance almost ruined with their freekick at the end which we thought was a goal. Their keeper was a good laugh!

Bill Hicks. Great, but a lazy ****, not done anything for ages.
-
Me too. We need to dig him up and warm him up first though...

Get to some decent watering holes close to Fenchurch St for your main drinking, then top up with a swift one close to the ground in a shabby pub.
-
Drinking in London, then I guess Fenchurch St to Barking on overland rail, then tube from there is what we're doing. (Found myself on too many long tube journeys when I've needed to pee)

Watching this tonight. It is a Coen Bros film so I think it'll be ace.

Should be a good day out, looking forward to this.

Yes. They keep canceling the daily direct flight I'm supposed to be on the day after Boxing day. Lame.

Ricky Gervais Out of England 2 on HBO. (His first American gig was very good he did about two years ago. Included the best parts from his stand up shows he'd done up till then, but with better delivery.) I never saw some of his latest material and was never that bothered. This latest American show is nowhere near as good as the first and he mostly comes across as a bit of a plonker. However, there is a new season of the animated podcasts airing just after the new year which I have much higher hopes for.

I expect it'll be True Grit when it comes out in a few days. Been a fairly disappointing year. Up till now, Inception I suppose.
-
Will do, thanks.
-
Will it be possible to call in and order or would tickets need to be collected in person? Daft question but I get to very few games.
-
I agree but I was more making the point that this result is not the most embarrassing of the day. If that's any consolation....which it isn't.. I was getting so pumped up to get to watch some real games in a few weeks...I hope they sort it out pronto!

At least the Daggers scoreline is making this look a bit better..

I'm hoping Squarepusher's Shobaleader One guitar band project grows on me after a first listen, but I miss his old stuff rather a lot.
