I agree. If we'd gone into the end of the season with consistent winning, scoring goals, as we've been doing away, but it'd been at home instead, no-one would be moaning now. It's ridiculous, just based on what the majority see and not how we're actually playing.

How would you have measured success for Puel? Improvement on 6th? He should have got a run in Europa, otherwise I can't see what more anyone could expect given the players available to him. Imagine if our last three months away form had been at home? People's views would be completely different.

Our home support really is weird, some just go along to boo and moan, away games a better crack than ever. If we could finish/take a penalty, that'd be a few more points on the board, not much Puel can do about that.

Completely agree. Team has lost a bit of confidence, negative home crowd doesn't help either. Stick VVD and a fully focused Fonte in the team and you've got a clear improvement right there. I know they wouldn't directly go out and create a load of chances, but just give that settled leadership everything else is built from.

Most teams play one up front these days, regardless of whether home or away. A line up of Gabbiadini, Tadic, Redmond, Boufal is attacking enough, I didn't think many people were upset or concerned when our line-up was announced.
