Few good points and questions there. I'm still happy to judge at the end of the transfer window as a whole, but think this one is a poor call from the club.
-
Apologies for pointing out where you're wrong, must get annoying after a while.
-
Apart from tonight, Chambers has featured in pre-season plenty.
-
To be fair, I consider that poor form from Jordan Sibley, best to just ignore the tweet, rather than make up a response.
-
Poor decision selling Chambers, bad call from the club there. Was always going to be an issue keeping Clyne and Chambers happy, but I'd expect that to really come to a head next pre-season and not this one. I guess Chambers doesn't want to sit on the bench for a large chunk of the season, but still very, very bad timing from the club.
-
Seems a fairly bad injury. And I wonder if Lovren will be deemed fit enough to start.
-
Not in proportion to the amount of possession we had though. We created the 8th amount of chances and scored the 8th highest number of goals, so on that basis we didn't waste anymore chances than anyone else.
-
Well I don't think those stats show we created loads and missed loads, don't they more show that we converted a fairly proportional amount of chances? It looked to me we were still keen to retain possession in the main, just maybe take a few more risks with the ball at times, we'll see how that goes, fair enough change of approach.
-
What direct approach? We passed it around plenty tonight? You think that is "direct" football?
-
Thought he looked ok, solid defending, but didn't offer enough going forward and not quite ready for thePrem I hink.
-
Why on earth would it disappoint you?
-
I don't think we did create and miss loads last season.
-
Clyne's final ball and decision making still let him down.
-
Thought it was alright all told, decent work out against good, competitive opposition (by such friendlies standards), doesn't tel l us a huge amount, we all know we need to strengthen pretty quick.
-
Agreed, it'll be a genune step up and a decent work out, a good test for the us aganst a lively looking Bournemouth side. Is Ramirez likely to be involved?
-
I think we'll get beat tonight, Bournemouth will be up for it and at full-strength I'd imagine? 2-1 defeat.
-
Think on the face of it, based on the information we have, it should have been sorted long ago. Something doesn't quite add up, it is a strange one.
-
But you were just arguing the other day we should replace Fonte, so much for consistency.
-
I don't know, why do you think then? It's just speculation.
-
If true, why would Fonte turn down a 2 year deal in favour of a move to Cardiff? Unless he believes he'll drop down the pecking order of CBs here and won't be first choice.

F*****g hell, is that link serious? -
Yeah, got to be embarrassing and unhelpful for Jack Cork.
-
Got a link? Usually a good laugh. Happy with Forster as a keeper, but don't think his kicking is great from what I've seen of him?
-
How many times has a player came out with a statement like Lovren's and managed to have a further successful career at that club? It won't happen. And like Lallana, he has weakened our bargaining position, possibly costing us money. I'd love to see us stick him training with the reserves for a year, but that's not going to happen.
-
But we're not going to take a team like that to Liverpool, so not really relevant. It was an early pre-season friendly against Swindon, with plenty of additions to be added to the squad.
