  1. Why didn't the previous chairman start work?
  2. I would actually like us to expand the ground. Why haven't we started work yet?
  3. I expect Ramirez and Lovren to be recovered by then. Wanyama was 'doubtful' for the Norwich game, if he's back that makes us near enough full strength.
  4. Why is our squad looking thin now? Looks pretty much full strength now, apart from Wanyama - I assume that's still up in the air?
  5. So the mods did their job? Did you recently contact the club about one of his posts?
  6. Glasgow Saint cracks me up. It's easy enough to talk football on here if you really want to.
  7. Everton are 6 points ahead of us with 2 games in hand. It's really not likely we're going to catch them.
  8. Because he's not English? Because he's not going to be picked for England?
  9. Schneiderlin shouldn't play for England and it's not something he should even be considering, I thought it was a pretty strange response from him.
  10. Looks like Newcastle at home is nearly sold out already which is good going.
  11. In a strange way it's good, help keep prices down, but it conversely, it will just encourage us to take the smaller allocation if we're not 100% certain of selling out.
  12. Sherwood looks to be struggling to keep his emotions in check, but I thought Spurs were actually quite good today, fair bit of effort, beaten by a cracking goal and a good team, I actually expected worse.
  13. Saints will still represent the city and people from it, I don't think anyone is suggesting that will change.

    Boruc

Could definitely do with getting someone in to challenge him, such a difficult position to recruit for though, especially in terms of a young up and coming player that would be happy to potentially be 2nd choice for a while.
  15. Yes, I'm sure it means nothing to the average US citizen, but the point is, we wouldn't be marketing to the average US citizen. I don't think anyone is suggesting that we compete with Man Utd or Chelsea, thats the whole point. I doubt we'll make great money, but you can see why it's an angle they'd look at. We do seem to get a fair few articles about us, young English players coming through etc on the American sports websites, definitely more than Norwich, Stoke etc.
  16. Don't think we've sold out our tickets yet? Good one potentially for those that have missed out on our other recent London aways.
  17. I don't know America well, so I'm speculating, but won't some fans pick their team to follow on more than just winning? Obviously got to be playing good football, at a decent level, but if the club is seen as the Premier League that plays young English players, up against the big Russian and Arab money? Football coverage and the Premier League is growing over there? Could we not get a decent slice of the market, albeit still a way behind Man U, Chelsea etc?
  18. Yes, to be fair he did well in that regard as well. I don't mind Guly as much as many do, but it doesn't do himself any favours at times like yesterday. In theory Guly should be off-loaded this summer, but I've got a feeling P likes having him as a versatile squad player.
  19. How bad were Norwich? Got to be one of the worst Premier League sides I've seen for a long time. Thought Schneiderlin and Clyne were excellent for us. Don't know if anyone noticed how good Lambert was for us in the last 5 mins defensively when Norwich were piling on pressure and pumping balls into the box, he won/cleared a massive amount for us.
  20. He doesn't really compare us to the Green Bay Packers in that piece, just a throw away one-liner. I think all he's saying is that the Premier League is going to be making more and more money going forward, largely from tv deals etc, the States are a big, growing market for that, so finding a unique spot in the market and something which foreign followers can identify with might sell a few shirts and won't do any harm for shirt sponsorship, but I can't really see how we can make significant gains on the big 6 foreign income, apart from if we are regularly challenging at the top of the table, that's what really attracts foreign supporters.
  21. Cheers for that. When do they plan to complete/release the properties?
  22. So he'l be on the bench tomorrow.
  23. I'm not that bothered, just asked what evidence he was impressive in terms of inter-club negotiations and got all sorts of random chapter and verse.
  24. So that's still a "no" for any examples then.
