You can have one more sub, probably Davis or Fox.

On the basis that the only figure that has been touted around on here is £30m, we've already spent £20m, have had another recent bid for a player in another position turned down at £20m and are rumoured to still be looking at other targets, it's not too hard to work out that we're looking at spending well over the £30m figure.

No, but you'll you'll play against teams that use a more direct approach than passing out from the back etc.
-
Agreed, and on a side note it's the one strange thing about our pre-season fixtures - very little comparable to those sorts of opposition.

Saints external profile - Shifting Perceptions?
Sour Mash replied to Miltonaggro's topic in The Saints
I don't think we have had the perpetual moniker of 'Struggling Southampton' to be honest. -
No, originally you were suggesting that NC had "won" against the agents, when there is no evidence that is the case at all. In all likelihood, bot parties negotiated and showed some flexibility to get to an agreement, I'd still expect the agent to have done alright out of this.

I could be wrong, but I believe there has been an open day/fun day at the ground today, few players in attendance. According to the bloke that runs teh Saints Away travel coaches. He was the one quoted further up the page about being asked to leave the ground whole on a tour.

It clearly wasn't an Adkins buy.

He spoke fluent English.

Darren Bent.

He's milking it now, but if nothing comes of this he'll get a hell of a load of stick.

Yep, got to laugh looking back at it.

That make Chaplow's tweet from earlier today seem a bit strange.

Assuming there are clues in this somewhere?

Maybe Pochettino doesn't always tell the truth in press conferences?
-
And that chap from Anderlect the other week, did seem to suggest we were still planning movement in that area.
-
And we've been holding him back to partner our new CB and didn't want to spoil that by playing him last year.

Probably a bit of a pain for Celtic to sort out, but I can't see how the Kenyan sides can have any claim directly to Celtic. Be interesting to know if our deal included a sell on clause, probably did.

Boo hoo.

Could well be, although can't think they'll be that many people that tune in to see his 2 minute interview at the end. COuld also be that Sky expect them to be high scoring games and a few thrashings which is always entertaining to watch.
-
Still surprising that Palace have got 5 and we've got 3.
-
If we'd had all three players last season, then someone would have missed out on a fair bit of playing time. Would help if we have good, long runs in both cups.

Surprised the club didn't wait a couple more days before announcing it's price categorys for games, would make sense to have the Fulham game as a "Cat C" now.
