  1. What a load of s**te.
  2. He loves it, let him enjoy the highlight of his year. You can tell he's buzzing about all this.
  3. Does sound like the club were stitched up by Koeman. And if that article is true, we're only starting the ball rolling to get a replacement now. Sounds like we were in a very settled position, starting recruiting players, all that takes a major step back.
  4. Funniest thing is this is all lining up for them to end up more bitter than ever. I can't think of a crowd in the Premier League that gets on their own player's backs like Everton, I wonder how they'll cope with only finishing 7th.
  5. It is sort of a compliment really, shows how far we've come in the space of a few years that Everton fans are pulling out every piece of ancient history to prove how much bigger they are than us. What is genuinely a bit weird though, just had a look on their grandoldteam forum and nothing but posts about Saints/Saints fans. They're a club with decent new investment, just secured a good new manager, but their primary concern is us. Odd. Always bitter blues I guess.
  6. Proper Pompey turnout from the Everton on here "hey, we're a massive club Saints fans, please take an interest in us, we're really massive honest, look at our floodlights and everything"
  7. Exactly that. They're coming across like bitter Pompey fans now, can't think of a better example of why they aren't actually a big club.
  8. Sacking Martinez and bringing in Koeman is going to cost them £10m before a ball is kicked.
  9. Not really, he's definitely going there, they're just working through all the deals and agreements.
  10. He loves the attention, let him enjoy it.
  11. So he hasn't got a single second of experience over his days at a medium sized South American side, and just fits the 'Biesla' profile
  12. Why? What's he done in his career to prepare him for the Premier League? Mid 50s bloke who's mainly managed small South American teams.
  13. How much would sacking Martinez and paying up Koeman's contract be costing Everton? £6m?
  14. Good shout, definitely an option.
  15. Good to see all the usual characters getting plenty of bites on here.
  16. So we should build new housing and infrastructure in the south and east of England for half a million people every year? Ridiculous.
  17. Agreed. I'm gutted Koeman is going, but it does solve a fair few problems for us and there's always been the hint that Reed and Koeman don't get on entirely as well. It obviously all boils down to how good the replacement is and how quickly they settle.
  18. William Hill had our odds up and running yesterday lunch time.
  19. You mean significantly over-achieving year on year, to the envy of much better resourced clubs?
  20. But you agree I'm sure that the current strategy/regime is doing much better?
  21. I was worried they wouldn't get the chance to crawl out of the woodwork this year or that maybe they'd learnt something from previous years. Clearly not.
  22. Agreed, that would be handy. If we're a pot 3 team, would that set the fixtures a certain way?
  23. 56 years old, only club sides he's managed are small/medium South American sides (spending about a year at each one is seems), yes Chile looked good, but I don't think that's enough exposure to decent European league football to not be too much of a gamble.
  24. Exactly. And Koeman could have met with Everton - the agent isn't going to be telling a bbc journalist all about it. This doesn't really change anything either way.
  25. Thanks for proving my point for me.
