Davies yes, I think he is a good player but not sure about Burke. Decent CCC player but don't think he is Prem class. I think he is almost 30 years old too so perhaps does'nt fit our plans on that alone... In a quandry in a way as would love to see Blackpool promoted but equally I would love to see Phillips here.. Now he is a player with a bright future..

This is why Nigel seems to be emphasising "hunger and desire" as opposed to old "been there and done it befores" - And I think that is what we will get ( although I still would love Livermore to come her though ! Plenty of good options available to us from the Championship of which the likes of Phillips and Snodgrass are but two.

Dann is a realistic target and would be an OK acquisition but please forget about Yakubu - Not sure what Whittingham can add except the odd free kick but I agree with Ottery above, I do like the look of Turner as a player.. For me, I would love to see Livermore and Phillips here as our top 2 priorities..

They did indeed, with a League cup or two thrown into the bargain... Times were of course different 30 years ago, but they are proof that provincial teams can be successful at the highest level when the right combination of talent, infrastructure and circumstances collide together at the right time. You never know it might happen again...

Absolutely, its certainly one step at a time and re-establishing ourselves back in the Prem is of paramount importance. But a combination of patience, solid club infra=structure and circumstances might just create a pipe dream or two...

Never under-estimate what can be achieved - The consequences of the financial fair play rules are not at all certain yet, but they might give an opportunity for a well managed self sustaining club to run up along the rails...
