Welcome Tadanari Lee - Now bang in those goals !!
-
The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..
Foxstone replied to SB's topic in The Saints
Sarcastic Prat ! We have tried for Hooper and its not happened because Celtic will only sell at a price too high... What do you want then - Pompey style money transfers ??? It worked well for them did'nt it.. Oh wait ! -
OK decision has been made and we should all draw a line under the past too, and get behind him 100%. A focussed, fit and firing Puncheon is a huge asset to us..
-
As others have said, thanks for taking the time to give us some good info and for your excellent manner. It will all come down to money at the end of the day one way or another - And at the moment I can't call how it will end.
-
TBH and this is probably the only time I might say it - But I'm desperately hoping they can put out a competitive side on Saturday and nick a point.
-
In answer to the OP's question it has to be Hooper... Nige clearly rates him and clearly wants him.

King has done his achilles and is out for Leicester and Bamba and Pantsil are at the African cup - They are missing players the same as us...
-
See the Mail have linked Charlton's Kermorgant with Celtic - Co-incidental probably, but they do seem to be acquiring a lot of players this week..
-

I think the media is suggesting that the bid is already in ! And the deafening silence from Glasgow indicates that it is being considered.
-
As we know and clearly so do NA and NC, we have a squad good enough to hold its own in the Prem without major surgery except in the striking department. We have decent defenders ( with a couple of back up additions), great midfield, good wide options but need someone to play with RL as DC probably in his last season for us. One or both of these will set us up superbly, hence the big money talk.
-
If true that is a very ambitious and tempting offer and one that I am sure will be closely considered by all parties.
-
Not sure who you might think is more realistic? Clearly, NA and NC are going for promotion and to build us the capability to stay in the PL when we get there.. These targets are an eye for both I suspect, hence the big sums reported as offered.
-
The fact that we have been reported by the national press as being interested in both these guys, plus the absolute silence on erstwhile supposed targets like Sharpe, Maynard, Rodriguez etc leads me to give it some credibility.. Either would be a major coup and asset to us.
-
So according to "The Great Administrator" contracts are already in place... So why are the next few days pivotal then ? Has he got them to sign something saying " I am not a tyrekicker" but still awaiting for the cheque not to bounce ?
-
It's a compliment to us that a club in the Premiership title race lends us a player because they believe we play football the right way... Never mind that its Twitchy doing the lending, it's a benchmark to show how well we are regarded.
-
your club has no chane of getting a celtic star player .
Foxstone replied to hooper88's topic in The Saints
Could'nt agree more - Don't need this crap... -
Now thats generosity ! Great work if true.... That will upset the fishy crew a bit perhaps...
-
Van Gobbel IMO... Looked highly impressive during the 1994 world cup, but came to us and was nothing but a brick sh1thouse with no talent...
-
We have been strongly associated with Hooper today but the news from Glasgow leads me to think he has decided to stay with Celtic for now. We are clearly trying for that marquee, but on the face of it this Iago lad could well be a major boost for us even though he is unknown. His pedigree is certainly impressive anyway.
-
Anybody got a view on him? Looks exciting on paper- His pedigree is mighty impressive so I think we can perhaps look forward to a great addition to our season
-
Neither - It's loud and proud ! Rather a sane successor than "The Great Successor" and other of its ilk..
-
Agreed - The monarchy is an asset.
