First of all, it was a pleasure to watch Udinese play - They were quicker to the ball, quicker to close down, quicker in thought and quicker in movement generally. I saying that though, 2 of their goals were unstoppable 25 yarders that would grace any game and we did compete well, but not well enough. Davies when he came on made a difference, seemed to have that extra second on the ball that provided more continuity in midfield, Jay worked hard and Clyne was excellent down the right. I think this was a positive game for us to shake us out of any complacency we might have had. Forza senor Di Natalie though - He was a pleasure to watch!

Could not have put it better myself... Arsenal can go and boil their heads! Shaw will breakthrough into our first team this season - He's a class lad and he will be playing Prem football for us! end of...

Mate - You were born to write poetry !!

He's mingling amongst the bestest fans I would think... No no room for "Gob****e" the Cornetto salesman either.....

So is Penny singling out the players or the highly revered list of "businessmen" who have presided over the club in recent times? I bet that all of them are quaking in their boots at the thought of Dear old Pen swinging her handbag at their respective heads!!

Outstanding achievement and something to be rightly proud of.

I think his father played in the 1990 World Cup, and was sent of against the Argies for near GBH and decapitation of Claudio Caniggia!! -
Agree with you.. Hope you are recovering well BTW

Don't give a ****e! Its a global celebration that will come along once in our lifetime, and will bring kudos, cash and pleasure to a country that has in a rather depressed state. You of course have a right to whinge, but don't be surprised if most people ignore you!
-
This! Cue the SWF whinge brigade who criticise anything thats good, and will try to inflict their misery on everyone else..

Purely comparing him like for like as a football club chairman - They have a strategy, they choose a bright forward-thinking manager, the create good infra-structure and they support the manager financially and they empower him to deliver. Compare that to most other chairmen who fail to compare in some or all of these, and I am more than happy to being in the majority in congratulating Cortese as being a bloody good leader
-
Really? I think compared to the majority of Chairmen/CEO's around at various clubs, he would be near the top possibly just below Dave Whelan!! I mean Venky's, Randy Lerner ...etc,etc,etc anyone !!
-
We have signed quality - Agree I would feel better once we land a good centre half but so far, so very good!

Is Kanu caddying for him?
-
It all hinges on the remaining 14 million quid or so from the PP's. For him, thats worth the wait until or unless the fat bird clears her throat and coughs up phlegm !

The FSA and The FOS will be most interested in addition to the Data Protection Controller... Problem with Financial Services in general nowadays is that everything is done on the cheap and that includes training and process. Long gone are the days of solid experienced "Company People" who mentor others and know what they are doing.

Deano by a country mile IMO... Pace, Power and Positioning in abundance and I cannot recall him getting turned over at all for us. -
Botley Park is a good knock as is Southwick Park ( The old navy course). The latter is shorter than many but the greens are the most testing I have played in Hampshire.

But a so-called bigger club with seemingly less money to spend and have already pizzed off both Vlaar and Feyenoord -
Or in the case of Baloo - Fool me 3 times and call me a psychiatrist!

Another magnificent evolution of this wonderful tale !

Injured and missed the final I think...

Tend to agree with S-Clarke that this was a Jemal Mark 2 situation.. We have shown over the past couple of weeks in signing both Clyne and Davis that we behave with great integrity in our transfer dealings - If that is not reciprocated then we walk away, and I am more than happy to support that stance..
