  1. Cracking player - This guy can play anywhere on the pitch so no need to pigeon hole him in a right back slot.
  2. The man is a Saint in every respect...
  3. Yep - He was our talisman who did more than most on the pitch to get us back to the Prem. Will aways love the guy..
  4. Agree completely. Cortese misled nobody - He had a vision which we fulfilled, but to think that Osvaldo (who quite honestly never wanted to come anyway, but was rather pushed our way because Roma needed the money), and Lovren who was starting to rot at Lyon (who are not the powerhouse of France they used to be a few years back) were mis-sold a pipe dream is quite frankly laughable!
  5. Agree with being disappointed we missed out on Cresswell. Not concerned by Caulker going with twitchy though - Although decent at set pieces (attack and defence), he has the turning circle of dinosaur in a corridor - Think Jos in other words...
  6. Not a great defender, but lightning quick and lethal going forward... Might be a good bet.
  7. Pelle and Tadic? or just Pelle.
  8. Welcome Feyenoorder and thanks for the very interesting insights. Really impressed by De Vrij and particularly Martins Indi in the WC - You must be real chuffed with how they have represented Feyenoord on a world stage. There have been one or two very tenuous rumours of us bidding for Kongolo - Do you think these rumours have foundation at all?
  9. He is probably the least likely to leave at present. I know Arsenal are sniffing around but their number 1 target seems to be Khedira.
  10. Absolutely agree - Rather than same again this could well be the dawning of a new era ... Or 5 year project mark 2
  11. Bear in mind guys that any offensive/swear words on a banner will be ignored by the cameras etc... Far better to have a subtle but telling message that will attract attention - "Clattenburg was right" does fit the bill in this regard

    Osvaldo

    Could not agree more....
  13. If it is true that AL refused to play in a move to force his transfer to Liverpool, that i'm afraid just lacks class and morals and we are well shot of him. That is the attitude of somebody with a sense of self-entitlement and a "devil may care" attitude, and not the key behaviours that foster a good team spirit within any club. Our other erstwhile "striker" Kenwyne Jones who also adopted that method hardly covered himself in glory after leaving us and it would not surprise me if young Adam proves to be equally unsuccessful.
  14. Totally agree - It is a big, big injury and recovery in terms of time and completeness is uncertain until he really starts to test it - And he is nowhere near that stage yet. If Poch wants to buy him now, I would think he has been inhaling the coals he walked on last summer...
  15. Yes me for one -Liked the look of him when the Dutch caned Spain in the first match. Big, strong and quick with a good pass right and left foot (predominantly left footed). Not sure if he was ever on our shopping list, but would have liked him to be.
  16. No more Ecuadorians please.... !!
  17. Both Suarez and Rooney were angling moves away from their respective clubs last summer - ManUre and Scousepool both played hardball with them and they ended up staying - And had good seasons too. Far better to be tough and resolute than wimping around letting our tummy being tickled by players and clubs - If they go they go on our terms end of... Fair play to RonKo and Les for playing hardball!
  18. That saggy jowled prat is priceless!! I wish he would just retire to his Bornemouth care home and go away gracefully.
  19. And why should We, Bournemouth or anybody else be in existence to serve the Scousers every whim and fancy. Either they put up or shut up and go elsewhere for their "bargains" to advance their Champions of Europe claims!! Cue much wailing from the LIverpool mafia on TV (not least Jocky "They've gotta sell" Hanson") !! Just pretty peed off with this lot thinking they can dictate what they want at the expense of others - I hope Adam is beginning to realise they are wanting to "underbuy" him and stays around with us with the Skippers armband that comes with the job!
  20. Well Liverpool can't want him that badly can they? £20m including crappy add-ons and add-ins for a Premier League Club Captain and England International is derisory, so they are going for a slightly cheaper Bayern Munich reserve instead. If they really, really wanted hime they would pay the price - Clearly they feel they don't want him that much. Adam may well realise this anyway, but it is looking much more encouraging for us that he might stay and we should all welcome that warmly if he does.
  21. We'll tear them a new one..... ;0)
  22. He was a world class player in his day and his name is known all around the world - he will have respect from the start! If he turns out to be as good as manager as he was a player, then we will be in for a fine old time! Welcome "Big Ron" !!
  23. Bruno Martens-Indi would be my idea of a good signing alongside Van Dijk. Really impressed by him against Spain, big. strong and only 22.
  24. Well if he comes here as widely reported, he will be a "big Name" for sure. Will he be any better than Poch, who knows? But I'm sure we will all get behind him... BTW if he can bring Martins-Indi with him from Feyenoord I will be chuffed.,..
  25. SRL for me - Just a feeling of confidence I always had that he would never, ever miss - And for us he did'nt.
