  1. Totally agree, just another sad epitaph on the blithering idiots CV - All his best players were already at the club ( Bale, Baird, Jones) etc, and apart from Kelvin and perhaps Rasiak who are/were decent for us, the rest of the £7million he spent was just pizzed up against the wall! Compare his signings with Ted's, Lawrie's, Jones' and Pards' whose choices were considerably better to put it mildly. Would credit Hoddle with Petrescu and Souness with Kevin Davies though, and Micky Evans did well for Merry Dave!
  2. This was the first game I have seen for a couple of months, and what a welcome return it was too. To say we were by far the better side is an understatement! As others have mentioned Jaidi and Fonte were magnificent and totally in control of the defence - Beckford worth "How many million"!!?? Jaidi and Fonte consigned him to sitting on his arse for virtually the whole game! Puncheon gave their full backs a nightmare game and while their midfield worked hard to close down our space they never did anything with it. Even the ref was trying to help them and it made no difference - We outplayeds them! It was the most comfortable 1-0 I can remember in a long, long time. Well done Pards for getting the tactics spot on, and well done the team for giving such a committed and entertaining performance. My MOTM - Fonte
  3. It would certainly be more cost effective that way
  4. Strewth ! Baloo is hardly Barack Obama His world standing was so great that nobody had heard of him until he became associated with the Blue Few! But just in case he somehow does hold such almighty clout that frightens governments to jelly :smt119, I'm sure all the murky allegations of "Laundered Money" within the club he now owns ( whether he be involved or not) and the implications if proven will trump any trade deals that might be at risk !!!
  5. Did'nt Andoniku quote earlier this week that he had seen paperwork that proves Gaydamak's "£30 million" loan to be valid, and it follows that as he owns PFC property around Krap Nottarf that makes him a secured creditor?
  6. He is so mired into the "dysfunctional" workings at the club that the longer he is there, the more mud ( as it rises to the surface) will come out and stick to him. His come-uppance is nigh!
  7. Indeed, hardly an insignificant amount of extra debt at that. Cardiff, Southend and Chester together could have had all their problems wiped out by that "additional sum" alone.
  8. "Embarrassed" ! "Ground to swallow me up" ! :smt119 You sound like the type of guys who only pee in a cubicle instead of at a urinal because you are worried what the other pee'ers might think of your smaller "trophy"! Why be embarrassed about celebrating success wherever it comes, christ we have had enough crap to put up with recently, so why spoil a party if the club wants to throw one.
  9. Indeed - Thats a return that any banker at Lehman Brothers would have been proud of
  10. But the sum total of that 50 could not make up for "his experience" surely ??!!
  11. You can link your friends/family on your own database account provided their name is also on same database...
  12. Good Man ! Join the happy band of database tail end chasers...
  13. Sounds like there will be a real Saints Web Forum Fest up in that corner of the gods !
  14. It did - Got mine ! Bring it on...... Seats also still available on Angela Coaches if anybody needs transport ( £25 per seat).
  15. No better online - Think the server is straining.
  16. Of course, how could I have forgotten that! Do they still do Telex too ?
  17. Have to admit that it is much more high-tech than Storrietellers phone-call/post-it note method !
  18. With apologies from a Mr C Ho ( Pompey Defensive..Whoops Defence Association) who is on Gardening Leave !
  19. Exactly. As much as we are enjoying our stay in the third tier of football right now, our owners very much see us as a Prem club and want us to play there - And that is absolutely the correct attitude to take. For myself, I would love us back at the top table again.
  20. I need a couple of tickets too so I'm not telling you
  21. Desperate comes to mind! Its almost as though he is saying to the EPL - We can only complete our fixtures if you bend the rules to bail us out - What do you want Mr Scudamore ? He also does not seem very confident that he will be regarded as truly independent either but is looking for the court to say - " Well you have started so you might as well finish"! Rather naive there perhaps. As for your speculation above - It does seem to fit does'nt it ?
  22. They would'nt have. However, an officious little git anxious to climb the greasy pole who referees in the 3rd tier would!
