  1. But as they are trading illegally now surely future income is immaterial is it not ? They need millions of quid of new money now to satisfy their debts!
  2. Slapped Wrists ??? I would say trousers down with a potty on their heads, and their todgers wedged between two halves of a floury bap !
  3. Not suggesting they would.. But those that beat the Skates would lose 3 points which has the secondary impact of effectively giving back 3 points to those that lost to them. Therefore teams like Liverpool would effectively gain 3 points on those above them and teams like Wolves and Wigan would benefit at the expense of Bolton for example.
  4. Unbeleivable Stress does affect sound thinking though!
  5. All records are expunged except yellow and red cards.. Impact of this - Teams like Liverpool would gain 3 points ( because they lost to the skates) as opposed to others who beat them and see those 3 points expunged..
  6. Point of pedantry M'Lud The "He" is a "She" today ! Storrie might even think he can schmooze her !
  7. I suspect they know that when the books are opened to Administrators, a whole beach full of worm will pop out and would reflect on them even more badly than now! Trying to avoid that ignominy at all costs I would guess.
  8. Totally Agree ! I Just don't see what Mr Canteen sees (or not as the case may be)!
  9. Dear Me ! I would have to say that your assessment might make you 2 shin pads short of a football kit ! Waigo's all around pace and movement coupled with a football brain is completely at odds with young Wright-Phillips and was quite apparant last night during the match!
  10. Top men !
  11. I could not agree more with this. Pards is very capable, positive but also realistic and does not shirk a challenge- But even these qualities will not quite be enough to push us into the play offs this season. Additionally who would have considered at the start of the season the form of some teams like Swindon either! I said at the start of the season that I thought we would just miss the play-offs but would be happy with a Wembley shot at the JPT and I stand by that.
  12. Which means that HMRC have said.. " Sorry Boys see you in court tomorrow" While Story Boy and Jacobs sit there with their trousers round their ankles and their head in their hands!
  13. Then realistically, they have until 4-30 this afternoon to schmooze the revenue otherwise they are in tomorrow!
  14. But they would need a CVA to get out of Admin, and if they did not satisy the FL in this regard - They would get further points deductions in the FL.
  15. I think it was taken down because Rupert had no where else to put his collection of train pictures !

  17. Cracking good read ! How refreshing it is to see so many positives being written and said about our club in recent times, rather than so much negativity that preceeded it for far too long.
  18. It might not help either that Story Boy is part of their management/negotiating team, and he has been charged with evasion of taxes to none other than HMRC ! No chance of a character reference there methinks
  19. I only know a little of my maternal grandfather's war record but it certainly appears note worthy: He was a sergeant in the Royal Artillery and fought in Holland around Venray and then into the Rhineland (Wesel ?), before crossing the Rhine near Cologne. He was mentioned in despatches (London Gazette) and received the OakLeaf during that campaign. I have always promised myself I would find out more as it seems a record to be proud of - Just need to find the time.
  20. Agree Added to that, he has seen what a fantastic club he has bought with a loyal, numerous and passionate fanbase that relatively few other clubs have. If indeed it has turned into a labour of love then everyones a winner.
  21. Nail on head ! Markus is in the position to spend as much or as little of his cash as he likes, and leaves it to Nicola to drive the deals. I would imagine that Nicola and Pards drew up a list of primary targets and contingency secondary targets in case the primaries could not be landed. Very sensible too. We got Fonte & Barnard which were certainly primary targets with the addition of Antonio on a loan extension, where perhaps Puncheon, Seaborne and Otsemobor were secondaries but none the less targets anyway. All told - very good business done all round. Appreciating Rupert's propensity towards financial prudence as one thing, but assuming the money was available to him would he really have sanctioned Barnard's transfer with £1 already spent on Lambert to use him as a back-up? I somehow doubt it ! ML+NC have shown great ambition in investing in the club this window for a push for the play-offs while I am certain Rupert's natural style would have settled for the opposite.
  22. Just imagine the sight of jetsetting "Help me rhondda" sipping her chilled Remy down at the Milton end of Krap Nottarf !
  23. A very insightful read from that particular poster! I wonder how close to the mark he is !
  24. I find number 1 a little too "Peruvian" for my taste, but quite like 2 and 3. I agree with Wes that a reference to the clubs 125th anniversary would be a good addition.
