Too freakin right ! Cortese is putting everything in place to ensure we succeed this coming season - Its down to Pards to get the results of course but I'm confident he can!
-
Agree It looks like it is ring-fenced to run the administration costs but as you say, that means that other funds ( ie team building) are ring fenced too and not needed to be re-allocated elsewhere.
-
And if it contributes to us being able to buy better players and funds our push up the leagues, then I would call it wholly sensible. Pay £2 more or be like some others who are content to stand still ? Give me the former any time.
-
Then Pardew will be fired and another manager will be brought in who can deliver success that the very heavy financial investment ( authorised my Cortese) deserves and warrants. Cortese provides the strategy and authorises the funds to achieve it. "the fly away success on the pitch" is down to Pardew to deliver.

I totally and unreservedly disagree.

I think the situation at Poopey has really beefed up their hand in going after the football creditors rule, and as this has been their bugbear since 2004 it has given them a golden opportunity to challenge it again. Wonder what the Android is thinking of all this ? Perhaps the "Great Sage Ho" can enlighten us

Its not a rip off at all. Rather than just adding a "mark up" on the ticket price as many other organisations do, they have honestly separated the two entities for the sake of transparency.
-
Not going to happen ! With the investment in the infrastructure and team ( started last season and will no doubt continue into the coming one), together with the stated requirement of promotion ( and we do not have -10 points to contend with this time round), we will be right up there in the promotion places. Success brings support at any club and ours is no different.

Except that our current CEO is light years better than the trail of misfits that preceded him - So comparisons are futile

Good Post ! That part emboldened is especially relavant given to the depths we had sunk to this time last year ! Thanks to these two, not only do we have a club, but we have a club with a plan and the wherewithall to see it through. Contrast that to the line of twits that we had the misfortune to be saddled with for far too long before.

aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh !!!! :smt072

Me too ! His unswerving loyalty to himself and the defence he mounted to all of Wilde's actions ( Or not as it turned out ) was quite plain to see. St Richard of Woolston does'nt appear now and neither does Jonah. I reckon old Jonah could have made a few good observations on the Poopey thread in the lounge. Orange Bud and St George were arch Lowe-Ites and no longer post I think. As for Chester Perry/ Op/ Rory Breaker/ CB and numerous other nomes de'plume

Agree with that A certain Mr Rooney has been quoted as saying that having Heskey alongside him improves his game, and Rooney's goalscoring record is much better with Heskey than any other forward who has played in recent times. For that reason alone - Heskey deserves his place.

Well said ! It seems that Mr Lune has a very, very short memory!

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
Foxstone replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
Except when he was here earlier in the season with Leeds. He was dire that day ! -
Or Josef Stalin perhaps? I hope our fishy neighbours are Prepared for the next 5 year plan
-
Good! I'm glad he regards it as his "baby" rather than "his shareholding! He is likely to nurture it better.

He certainly has: He saved the club from extinction and in the process got rid of the trail of lemons we had the misfortune to have been saddled with for far too long. For the first time in a long time, we had spending power to construct - And Not have to sell and destruct! In one fell swoop he removed all the damaging politics that had riven this club for far too long. For the first time in a long time, we now actually have forward thinking plans and goals and we have the strategy and wherewithall to back it up. The feelgood factor is back again -Fans are returning and liking what they see! Yes Markus has the finances but Cortese is the architect of our rise from the ashes and therefore, I feel it is wholly inappropriate for you, Dune, Stu and others who seem to like to "buck the trend" without much thought or reason to get on his case because he did'nt publically snog AP or that he criticised (with good reason) the manner in which some of our past stalwarts have been quoted in the media. Frankly I think its unbeleivable!

Would prefer Antonio to Vaz Te anyday... Antonio has all the attributes to develop into a very decent player - And I have watched him get better and better as the weeks go by. Has a decent finish on him too.. Vaz Te has fallen off the radar rather and I don't ever recall him being that good ( Premiership or not).
-
[/b] That being the case I would expect him to return to his normal domicile overseas before it gets to that stage. He is not a resident of the UK and I would think HMRC would have great difficulty in collecting anything from him. Same for Slasher, Bin Trump and Al-Mirage too ! Only perhaps Storrie-Boy can be caught in this way. All IMHO of course...

Could not agree more Frankie Boy ! :smt023

Agree A consumate professional who has added value to us. Good luck Chris whatever your next move might be.

Rubbish! Both sides have every right to comment how they like - Its not a one way street! Both Lawrie and Matt are astute enough media operators to know what they said and how it might be received. The "legends" are our past but were not in a position to be our present or future. Thanks to NC and ML we not only have a past but have a happy present and a bright future too.

Its amazing how painful it can be being hit by a zimmer frame
